As an aside - anyone ever played in a campaign of one class? I haven't but it could be interesting for a change (don't worry ace: not seriously suggesting it for yours!)
Not saying we should, but that would be Hilarious :D

Hey guys Im going to throw up a few house rules shortly, but I'm pretty sure Clerics will have a spell at first level in those house rules ( at least those with a WIS 13 or higher).

Sorry clerics, but I've decided to dwarf it. At least now you'll have somebody to heal!

So are we on Mentzer/Moldvoy experience (eg Cleric 2nd at 1500) or LL (cleric 1565)?
I was going to assume the former...

B/X with some house rules.

I am going to use B/X assuming everyone has access to that rule set.

This character is an import from another campaign that stalled over a year ago.

All the roll were properly logged, so I was allowed to import her. Anyway, this is only my second halfling... On this forum.
Dragon foot. Bamboo pole. Little mouse. Tiny boy.

Weapon Damage

#33 Post by dmw71 »

How will weapon damage be determined?

1) All weapon attacks by characters (PC or NPC) will do 1-6 (1d6) points of damage, adjusted by Strength and magical bonuses, if applicable. (pg B25)

-or-

2) If the Variable Weapon Damage system (pg B27) is used, check the weapon type to find how much damage each weapon will do (adjusted by Strength and magical bonuses or penalties).

Variable Weapon Damage
Damage | Weapon Type
1-4 (1d4) | Torch
1-4 (1d4) | Dagger
1-4 (1d4) | Sling stone
1-4 (1d4) | Club
1-6 (1d6) | Arrow
1-6 (1d6) | Hand Axe
1-6 (1d6) | Mace
1-6 (1d6) | Quarrel* (Crossbow bolt)
1-6 (1d6) | Short Sword
1-6 (1d6) | Speak
1-6 (1d6) | War Hammer
1-8 (1d8) | Battle Axe*
1-6 (1d6) | Sword
1-10 (1d10) | Pole Arm*
1-10 (1d10) | Two-handed Sword*

*Two-handed weapon

Whenever a two-handed weapon is used (including pole arms), the attacker cannot use a shield (this may reduce the Armor Class of the attacker) and will always lose the initiative, whatever the roll (see page B23).

Thanks. I didn't have enough for armor with the thieves' tools, but I figure I can always add some leather at a later time. saalaria did an even better job with only 50gp!

Sorry ath - had it in my head you had several halflings - of course your signature is a good pointer that you don't!
Re the cash (or lack of!) - I was pleased myself..but I did have had to forgo my holy symbol - may not be a wise move bearing in mind the adventure title! Keen to trade up the armour asap too. The high dex helps a lot though...

saalaria, any chance I can convince you to consider lowering your intelligence by four points, thus allowing you to round your strength up to 16 (+2 to hit and damage) and your dex to a mighty 18 (-3 AC)?

Also, you can make the character list in your signature hyperlinks directly to your characters. Whisper me if you'd like some assistance on doing so.

I did consider that Xa but I wasn't sure if the 2 for 1 was for primes only. Ace what is your rule for this?

Exchanging ability scores will be allowed on a 2 for 1 basis. Dexterity and Charisma can only be raised, not lowered.
