Halo nods and offers up a silent prayer to Pelor, leaning against the wall He opens his second sight up to see if he can sense any evil in the coming area.

Blodget, halfling thief:

"Wait!" whispers the foolish young hobbit as he politely squeezes his way to the front. "You can never be too sure about these things, if'n you take my meaning, Mister Trotter, sir. Better safe than sorry, and all. At least that's what my dear sweet grandmam used to say. ...Although not about cloud castles and evil spirits."

Blodget crinkles his little brow as he looks at the door, and the floor before it.

At the very last second, Blodget pushes his way up to the front in order to inspect the door. A bit of pride returns to the little guy when he instantly spots some magical sigils inscribed on the lock and opening mechanism. He has no idea how to disarm them, but he definitely thinks that they look far too dangerous to touch.

You're right Blodget, do not touch anything...let me handle this! Did that foul beast think these sigils would keep us from entering? He casts Knock

"Think nothing of it Mister Trotter, sir! Just trying to be helpful!" Blodget said as he ran to the back and hid behind Mira as Wyntar began conjuring forth powerful magicks!

Into the Crypt
Round 1

Wyntar weaves his magic and the door suddenly pops open. The smell from beyond is a horrific combination of death and a sickly sweet smoke that hangs heavy in the air. The massive room before you was clearly once used as the giants family crypt, but has since been completely defiled by Yesorkh and her clerics.

On the far side of the roughly 80 by 140 foot room stands a large white statue streaked with red and brown splotches. It looks like a hideous, diabolical creature that stares back at you malignantly with black, faceted eyes. In its arms is a large, smoking bowl that fills the room with a smokey haze. At the base of the statue is a huge pile of giant skulls and bones. In front of that you see a pile of 8 or so dead and rotting human bodies.

There is one snow demon with bright red plumage standing near the statue. It begins gesticulating in your direction as you enter the room. There is an open door in the far wall and several alcoves along both side walls that a dozen skeletons emerge from, heading in your direction.

You descend the tower stairway and reach the next floor. The stairs continue down and the room opens up into a destroyed giants nursery. There is evidence of a recent battle here as dead ogres lie scattered across the floor. A huge top lies smashed against the wall.

Mira immediately bolts to the left upon seeing the crimson Snow Demon casting at the party. Having seen Brother Thomas and others in her time deal with the likes of Undead, she will allow Halo's faith to do its work before entering the fray. Once at the wall left of the entrance, if the skeletons have been turned or not, she'll cast Wall of Fog between her party and the Apeling, then slowly make her way closer to the Demon.

Blodget, halfling thief:

"Yikes!" The little hobbit jumps with a start! He determinedly pulls out his sling and fires a stone bullet with terrific aim at the forehead of the red plumed snow demon!

Blodget Sling: To Hit: [1d20+9] = 9+9 = 18, Damage: S/M: [1d4+3] = 1+3 = 4, Damage: L: [1d6+3] = 3+3 = 6

Trotter's sword sings as he closes the distance and tries to disrupt the demon's curse.

Sword of Sharpness to hit [1d20+4] = 20+4 = 24, dmg v l [1d8+15] = 8+15 = 23

Wyntar is disgusted to see the desecration that has occurred in such a sacred area. He really hates creatures/beings that have no concern for life. He screams at the demon....May you die writhing in pain!! He lets loose energy from his Stave at the Demon. Magic Missile

Magic Missile [4d4+4] = 5+4 = 9

Choas in the Crypt
Round 2

The party explodes into action once the door is opened. Halo steps inside and proudly presents his sun shaped holy symbol of Pelor to the skeletons. 8 of them shun the symbols radiant power and turn around, heading straight back into their alcoves. 4 of the undead monsters press the attack against your invading group.

Trotter ignores them completely and charges in at full speed towards the red snow demon, swinging his sword mightily. Xano decides to stay back to protect the badly injured paladin. She draws 2 of the skeletons towards her, but is able to fend off both of their attacks by using highly defensive combat maneuvers.

The white wizard resorts back to his old faithful, sending several tiny missiles of energy towards the red ba’atun cleric. The missiles hit the beast just as she gets her own spell off. As she cries out in pain, an enormous blast of cold shoots out from her fingers. It crashes into the little ranger at point blank range, 14 dam (half dam due to boots, but no further save allowed due to charging) but the icy effect fizzles out before it can reach the back of the room where the rest of the party is positioned. One skeleton swings its sword at Wyntar, hitting him in the thigh and drawing blood. 4 dam

Blodgett releases a sling stone towards the demon. The stone just barely covers the great distance but still manages to cause a little damage to the evil beast. Mira scoots over to the left and begins casting a spell. Suddenly, a wall of fog appears between most of the group and the charging ranger. The last skeleton pursues Mira but is unable to hit her with his rusty cutlass. When Trotter finally puts the 140 feet behind him, charging in to slash at the demon, he does so with impressive results. He chops out hard and severs the red priest’s right arm at the shoulder. It falls to the floor with a thud as the creature screeches out in pain, blasting the little ranger’s eardrums in the process.

Due to the screeching, everyone except Halo must make a saving throw vs. Spells at +6. Failure causes cowering in fear and the inability to make any more actions until the screeching is stopped.

The injured paladin steps in and hacks at one of the skeletons attacking the wizard.

Initiative [1d10] = 1
Sunblade [1d20+5] = 19+5 = 24 : [2d4+8] = 6+8 = 14 : [2d8+8] = 11+8 = 19
