I started getting my character ready and did some rolls. I was thinking about a strong, burly cop type but my 3d6 rolls were all 9-12. Then when I rolled my 2d6+6 I got 3 seventeens in a row. Is that even possible?

Now I'm thinking about going with a large but wimpy private eye type.
(it's gonna be a while yet for me to get this finished, we get home on Sunday)

Great. Remember to make a character on the roller to record your rolls (campaign ID 288). I also don't mind if you reroll to match your concept.

OK it's been quite awhile since I sent out blank characters sheets and some of you have been slacking.
I'm going to reopen recruiting thread and if others show interest they may replace some.

Thanks for letting me in the game. I have a few questions that I would like the answers before I start rolling up a PC.

1. Where is the game located? Around St. Louis, perhaps? Or a little west of there???
2. How long after the initial outbreak is the current time-line?
3. Are the PCs aware they are infected and even if they are not bitten, if someones dies they become a walker?

Below is the background of the PC I would like to play. A Fireman/Paramedic, unless it is close to a PC that is already in play. Is their a Profession write up for that?

Age: 24
Brief History:
Shane is a third generation firefighter, joining right after high school. He's been a certified paramedic about a year. He and his female partner, Rachael, who was two years his senior. Had just dropped off a heart attack victim of at the Methodist Regional Medical Center. Having missed lunch at the firehouse. They decided to grab some before returning to the station. To stopping downtown, in the the historic district. To eat some sushi, at Fuse Restaurant and Lounge, on 3rd and Broadway They had a chainlinked fenced employee parking area in the back. That the owner didn't mind those in the department, parking their 1st resposnce units (ambulance) if they wanted to stop by to eat. before returning to the station. It was there, while they were there eating, when they had their first encounter and things went all to hell soon after. When a man, in a panic, came running in through the restaurant's front door. Yelling something about having been bit by a crazed man. He was cradlimg his left forearm. The two of them jumped into action. Rachael didn't last a week.

My second choice for a PC concept. Would be a college Engineering Student who grew up and had still been working part time at in his family's Tow truck/Chainlink fenced, barbed wire topped surrounded Wrecking Yard business when the outbreak began. He is a 'Grease Monkey' mechanic and gadgeteer/jerry rigger. Can keep most things mechanical going a little longer, with little more then chewing gum, duct tape and bailing wire. If local is in snow country. Their family business also did private snowplowing for both businesses and residents.

While I don't have the EXACT location totally worked out just yet it'll probably be Florida for the start of the action.
Don't spend time on a story including the start of the apocalypse as it will happen in game.
Also don't spend time worrying about equipment. You'll start with none.
I'll place your characters in game based on your profession and possibly your background.
The outbreak will happen in game so PCs will have no idea what's going on prior.

About the Dice Roller, do you have to register again to just use that. If so I tried, but never received a confirmation email, like it said I should.

Paramedic firefighter is fine. Play what ever concept you like.

I'd be down, zombie apocalypse and all I'd fully expect survivors to find each other afterwards, just like in the actual walking dead.

I'd even be fine starting out in a solo area and then finding other players...
