Chapter 13: A Fate of Unlife?!

#1 Post by PyroArrow »

Ok, Here we begin the party having left the Keep, on their way to re-entering the Goblin/Hobgoblin cave, in the hope of more survivors from the first adventure.

What is known is that the fate of captives were one of four things; 1) Sold into Slavery; 2) Tortured to Death for Fun; 3) Became an Undead Soldier for the Hidden Temple; 4) Part of a Dinner Fest

There are still Keep Troops out on the main main North Caravan Road, as they have not pulled back just yet, so getting up near to the Caves of Chaos & the original campsite is not a problem.

Once again Cob & Dubricus D'Amberville will be watching the horses & campsite as the rest go to explore the cave.

I will place the party at the mouth of the cave opening to start.

I will get a map up, of what was explored so far in that cave.

Players' Map:

Note: You could not open the secret door, it may be a one way deal.

There are 2 other ways to go here... back to where the goblins were behind the portcullis or back to the passage north & west of the Torture Room.

My vote is north-west, not much a cleric and an illusionist can do about a portcutlis

I'll voting for north-west as well, we've already spoken to those goblins and if need be we can always go back to wreck them.

Aah! But a batty wizard can. With his reversed Enlarge spell! Remember ? Ha HA! (Cue eccentric cackle :D )

Dungeon Master:

Ok, it looks like the party knows which way it is headed...so now placing you all just outside the cave mouth, off to one side, we need to know 1) the New Marching order, 2) How are you entering the cave???

Wolfram will want to to march alongside one of his uncles, preferably Lutha. Luna will want to be just behind them. But where in the procession they are (1st row, 2nd row etc) doesn't matter.

Mort and Kormak are willing to take the front rather than splitting the duo up.

Maya will want vanguard, first row with shield at the ready.

Victor will choose to be in the middle, torch in hand.

Oddrick is eager to be in the front with the other fighters, but sees that it would not be wise to crowd. He falls to the end of the line as rear guard.

Sister Opal joins him.

Mort checks inside to see if it is safe trying to stick to the shadows and moving silently. But obviously fails to do so.
HS 25% Thief Skill Checks[1d100] = 68
MS 20% Thief Skill Checks[1d100] = 28
