[Caiden Cross – Human Rouge 0] (HP: 10/10) (AC: 13)
Action: Ghost?

Caiden is at first confused, he doesn't fit the description of what he perceived ghosts looked like. He takes the chance with Gorthak distracting him and sneaks behind him.
Dex Check: [3d6+2] = 10+2 = 12

then he tries to use the ghost trapper to hold the ghost?
[1d20] = 20

Wisdom Check: [3d6+1] = 9+1 = 10

[Zirus - Lizardfolk Aspiring Cleric 0] (MP: 0.5/2) (HP 10/10) (AC: 19)
Actions: Steps toward the apparition

"No, sir," says Zirus to the rogue, "This is not a ghost." He pauses also, grabbing the cup that is dangling from his backpack strap and saying into it, "Friend, you'd best get out here," before relaying briefly their location.

He steps toward the apparition, eying the giant's armor and looking for clues that this being is indeed who Zirus suspects. It must be.

"Hail, vis-s-s-s-sitor," says Zirus, "And tell me true, be you loyal to Ptah? Your journey has been long. Tell us what you s-s-s-seek."

[Gort – Human (Nordic) - Savage 0] (HP: 10/10) (AC: 11)
Action: Holler REALLY loudly like a crazy guy, prepare to attack - or not

Difficulty Check WIS (11) [3d6-1] = 11-1 = 10

Seeing the giant apparition seemingly threaten Gorthak, Gort lopes to Gorthak's side, slapping the flat of his axe against his chest and bellowing loudly "ARRROOOOOOOOOOOO!" He then crouches ready to spring - his actions dependent on Gorthak.
If Gorthak attacks, Gort will dutifully follow him into battle. If he pauses, Gort will stay by his side trusting his friend's judgement. If at any time Gorthak attacks the thing or vice versa, Gort will swing his axe at the ghost.

Attack roll, just in case:
Initiative [1d10] = 4
To Hit [1d20+2] = 8+2 = 10 and in case he hit....
DMG (Orc Slayer Axe) [2d6] = 8

[Zirus - Lizardfolk Aspiring Cleric 0] (MP: 0.5/2) (HP 10/10) (AC: 19)
Actions: Councils Gorthak and Gort

Wisdom Check:
[3d6] = 15+2

As Tobias clings close, Zirus nods at his recognition and recalls also the fallen forms he encountered at the entryway to the Underdark, giants armed to the teeth and armored for battle.

"I believe he will only recognize you, Gorthak," says Zirus, "As our s-s-s-strongest warrior. This-s-s-s being is the warrior class of a spacefaring race that comes from the moon. Their goal is to s-s-s-serve as the arm of Ptah in this world. They will forward his aims at the expense of any who oppose them. I know not what his mission is here, but he is very dangerous, and it is unlikely that he is alone. It is unwise to fight him, though this-s-s-s may be inevitable."

["Seeker" Jyrbian Talanador of the Bleeding Eye - Lvl 0] (HP:10/10) (AC:11)
Action: The moon?

Jyrbian WIS(14): [3d6+1] = 7+1 = 8

Seeker looks to the large phantom warrior, "The moon? Then he has been dead for a very long time then. Let us be done with it soon, a relic of the past that has failed in life has no reason to haunt it's betters." He grabs his ghost item, a box of some type with a lever built into the side, and holds it next to him as he lets the others charge into battle and distract the phantom warrior.

Summary: First Encounter

The party, unfazed by the large Humanoid’s exotic cry, stands fast and challenges him back. Gorthak immediately confronts the creature, while Zirus attempts to converse with it. Zirus scans the Humanoid for clues and quickly recognizes a vaguely familiar symbol on the Humanoid’s armor and shield:

Caiden attempts to sneak behind while the creature is preoccupied with Gorthak and theothers. Tobias converses with Zirus and Gort gives the Humanoid a return volley, “ARRROOOOOOOOOOOO!” Seeker prepares to banish it should it prove to be an apparition.

His initial fear tactic, obviously ineffective on this lot, gives the creature pause. He looks the party over carefully, and after a long tense moment clangs his coppery shield against his very long spear and calls out, “Egredietur spiritus mortuorum inpertiatu! Expugna mollis mortalibus.” while carefully stepping backwards, keeping as many in his line of sight as possible. Before he has retreated any distance at all he begins to chant indecipherable words in a low tone.

Caiden, having snuck around behind the creature, fires his Ghost Trapper. The spidery thread shoots out of its barrel at lightning speed, slamming into the figure. The Humanoid ceases his chanting and screams out in pain as a fierce electrical current courses through his body. The spidery thread drops to the ground and the creature turns on Caiden with an evil blaze in his eyes. He raises his spear and says, “paruosque creaturae” as he begins to walk toward Caiden.

Ghost Trapper Electrical Damage: [2d6] = 8
Weapon Fumble Check: DEX-DC [3d6+3] = 9+3 = 12

About that time Zirus hears a wooden, echoey sound emanating from the cup dangling form his pack, “What are saying, come where? I must pack. An exploratory journey must be made.

Duration: 1d4 Turns (1 turn = 10 rounds, 1 round = 1 min)
Damage: 3d6 hp per bite
The Ghost Trapper
This wooden contraption consists of a long shaft, several feet long with a narrow slot running the length of it and a jumble of heavy spider thread-like material protruding from the end. Attached to the other end is a shoulder stock with two dials and a trigger mechanism. A length of the spider thread comes out of the barrel at the stock end and hangs out several feet. One end of the lasso attaches to the character’s waist, sight the incorporeal entity (ghost) along the barrel, and pull the trigger. The lasso shoots out entrapping the entity. A dial on the top of the gun retracts the lasso once the entity has been dealt with and another dial sets the trigger

Range: 50’
Requires and attack roll
Effect: Holds incorporeal entity indefinitely
Secondary Effect: delivers a shock to corporeal entities (living beings) dealing 2d6 points of electrical damage.
The Orc Slayer
The Orc Slayer is a magically hardened Obsidian axe head mounted to a thick Bois D’arc wood shaft with Liana cord. The extremely sharp nature of obsidian, hardened by magic, and coupled with the resilient tenacity of the Bois D’ark wood makes this a formidable weapon in its own right. It has one additional secret though, when used against Orcs it becomes a cleaving weapon of death. Any successful attack against an Orc of equal or lessor level than that of the wielder instantly cleaves the Orc in two. Any attack on an Orc whose level is over that of the wielder does double damage.

Normal Damage: 2d6

Summary: First Encounter

Tension fills the air as the Giant moves toward Caiden with a menacing spear. Caiden calls out to his friends as they stand ready for action. Gorthak refuses to provoke the creature if he can help it and Gort stands at the ready near his side. Zirus encourages Seeker to initiate some form of conversation for everyone's sake.

Seeker breaks the tension by commanding the Giant’s attention with speech of a strange and somewhat alien tongue; something the party has not heard from Seeker thus far.

The Giant ceases his pursuit of Caiden, cocks his head sideways and glares at Seeker. Squaring his shoulders and taking several steps in Seeker’s direction he says in a loud voice, “Lingua vestra acutiora. Uos a veteribus iungere?” He cranes his neck the other way and takes a few more tentative steps. “Non inspicitis nobilis. Formae bonum autem est falsum. Non cognosco potestatem tuam.

He begins to chant something under his breath while slowly moving in Seeker’s direction. He doesn’t make it more than fifteen feet when his eyes widen and he turns on his heels and runs back the way he came.

Zirus hears a wooden echoey sound emanating from the cup again, “Hello? Hello! Are you there?

["Seeker" Jyrbian Talanador of the Bleeding Eye - Lvl 0] (HP:10/10) (AC:11)
Action: Nonchalance at it's best...

Seeker puts his ghost capturing device away and sighs slightly, giving a glare to everyone, "There, while everyone was preoccupied with doing nothing I solved the problem... I believe I see a trend happening." He gives a huff and walks in the direction the woman ran in, speaking to Zirus as he walks, "Creatures such as they do not have "plans" More so they simply act on orders given by another, whether that other is long dead or not. The problem with them is that they are fiercely loyal, torture and interrogation would not have worked, even if you could have spoken their language... Or so I have heard..." He adds the last part a bit too quickly.

Seeker continues after trying to see where the female elf had run off to, "Now come along, and try to make yourselves useful during this whole charade..." he begins to mumble audibly, "Why must it be so impossible to find good help, why must I continue to be eternally punished? It is as if those pompous Gods childish vendetta is never ending..."

Gort - Savage
Action: Follow Gorthak

Gort stares at Seeker for a moment, furrowing his brow, clearly not understanding what Seeker is ranting about. He blows a big raspberry and follows Gorthak, mumbling "Gort not sure what Seeker talking about, but he seem upset." Gort shrugs and says "Gorthak, we go find ghosties now? Gort getting bored."
