Mort to Ewat and Idonea "We had a good run. A shame out mercenary band is parting ways. You were a great leader Idonea and Ewat you a fitting match with Kormak. You always helped me keep him in line. It pains me to see you both leave. But if your road leads to a different location than our present one I understand."

Kormak gives Ewat a punch in the arm "Be strong old friend." when Idonea slaps his back and makes her statement he begins to laugh "Yes mother." he jokes though Idonea was sort of the mother figure of this band of mercenaries. "Do make sure to keep Ewat out of trouble now Idonea. You know I'll be doing the same with Mort and Victor." he chuckles.

BORUM

Borum watches Mort exchange words with Idonea and when they are finished he approaches his friend with someone in tow.

Borum to Mort;

" Mort if I could have a moment of your time I have a matter to discuss with you?

Borum glances back at the pretty looking man who followed him over to talk to Mort.

Borum to Jareth;

" Could you give us a moment alone Jareth?

Jareth to Borum;

" But of course Borum, but don't dawdle my time is precious and I would have done with this business with my position secured!"

Jareth walks away but stays close by, he examines a farmers produce. He lifts an peach up from a basket and holds it in front of himself examining it for bruises.

Borum to Mort;

" I know that it is not your place to decide but I have a question for you. Upon our return from the caves an old friend/acquaintance of mine approached me. I did not know that he knew where to find me but he did. His name is Jareth Sands. He is a thief and an illusionist by trade. But more like a master Charlton if you ask me. I ran into him during my travels when I first left the dwarven mines of my homeland. We traveled together for a time and became close, well as close anyone can get to a self centered Charlton really. We protected each other upon the road and came to an understanding. Eventually I became weary of his mistreatment of me and I left him in an inn, and set to path without him, but he has found me once again. I would ask that he joins us on our next adventure to the caves. He a pain in the arse but I can vouch for him. Truth is I owe him for leaving behind like that and it seems he has come back to make sure I pay up on my debt to him. Could you ask the others if Jareth can join us in our adventures.

Just then Jareth walks up and offers Mort the peach

Jareth to Mort;

" I would offer this peach as a gift between possible business partners. I assume that my dwarf friend here has filled you in on my talents and the debt that he owes me? What say you Mort? it is Mort right? I would have your answer now so that I might prepare spell components and study powerful spells to aid you.

Mort caught off guard not really old friends with Borum merely only knows him from a couple trips to the caves of chaos. "Speak with Maya and Victor I'm not the party leader seek Victor he is the one that leads this band of adventurers, mercenaries and bounty hunters." Mort does not take the peach.

Wolfram

coming from a background where family (no matter how silly) stick together, once again reflects on his 3rd cousin Idonea's* strangely cold aloofness that has displayed itself over and over during their exciting adventure. Even when it's time to bid goodbye. Staring puzzled after her, he turns to: "Uncle Lutha, are you absolutely sure she was my cousin ?"

Lutha

"Ah, ehm, well she aways was a bit of a loner.... perhaps she was adopted ? Good old August Noblespear was a kind soul who took in anyone under his roof, no matter of which disposition or personality. Anyway, as the saying goes: children and fools travel fast!"

I hadn't forgotten! But Idonea still isn't in a place where she's ready to acknowledge her family connections. She's very, very stubborn in that regard. Ewat probably should have said something, though.

Maya and Victor are seen leaving the appraisers...

Victor, "I don't see the big deal with a little discount! The cost to identify that armor and shield is ridiculous!"

Maya, "Then you probably shouldn't have told him he smelled of old cheese and cheap morals..."

Victor, "Well, excuse me for noticing the elephant in the room. You smelled him right? I know the smell of moldy brothels! Remember that place in Gorrims? Smelled exactly like that!"

Maya, "Oh yes, I remember the place, and the fire, and the fine..."

Victor, giving Maya a wide smile and wink, "Maya my dear! You worry over the small details."

As they walk along the road they are met by Borum and a strange fellow...

Victor walks up to Borum, "Borum! Perhaps you can speak some sense into this place, the prices for magical efforts is astronomical! Perhaps a little fear of the gods can sway their minds, eh? I'll help, don't you worry... Hehe"

Maya says nothing but shakes her head and sighs.

BORUM

" Aye id be happy to help Victor. Just not sure how? But I do have a question to ask you first. Upon our return from the caves an old friend/acquaintance of mine approached me. I did not know that he knew where to find me but he did. His name is Jareth Sands. He is a thief and an illusionist by trade. But more like a master Charlton if you ask me. JARETH

" Pleased to make your acquaintance Victor! I am the Infamous Jareth Sands! Spellweaver and deceptor extraordinaire, I am at your disposal! I Greatly wish to join you merry band of adventurers on your next expedition to the caves. I believe that I could prove to be a very useful member of your team. I would ask only the percentage of treasure given to everyone and at least one fighter escort well traveling. What say you Victor? will you have me?"

Victor looks Jareth over for a moment, hmming to himself before giving the man a large smile, "A fellow Illusionist! Of course you can join this band of misfits! It's like I always say, the more illusions the better Hahah."

Maya steps up, giving Borum and Jareth a critical eye, "Before that, what can you do? Borum says you are Thief and Illusionist, but what specifically can you do? What qualifications can you provide? Have you worked with other groups before?"

At this stage Mort and Kormak wander off hoping it is time to go back and pay for the detect magic or identify on the amulet.

Dungeon Master:

Ok, Let's make it now, the 3rd morning since the day you all returned to the keep & you are all up & about, preparing to return back to the caves, this very morning.

Mort pays Gregius the 10 GP for the Detect magic & finds that the silver armlet does not radiate any magic aura.

I need to go back & see what day this would be so Pulpatoon gets a fix on how to handle Opal.

Mork sells the amulet since it has no magical properties. To which he can later use to see if the 3 gold chains with Dagda symbols are magical at a later time.

Victor and Maya are in the tavern, waiting for the others to group up so everyone can decide the best time to go back out to the caves.

Lutha and Luna are standing about nearby, eccentrically marvelling at life and freedom in general. Wolfram lies stretched out on the ground, observing aerodynamical patterns among the clouds over the keep. They're all ready to depart.

Sister Opal finds the others. "I have a new batch of cheeses, at the peak of ripeness. I've brought one for each of you." She hands around pale green balls wrapped in linen netting. "They will make fine provision when we return to the Caves. We... well, we do plan to return, don't we? I feel duty-bound to see what I can do to help those still lost among the forces of Chaos."
