Cayley

After the battle Cayley looks around, "Anyone injured?"

She looks toward the egg, "Prometheus be praised." She bows her head and gives a silent prayer. Once done she looks up and says with a wink, "So scrambled or fried?"
_____________
Cayley could try to use her healing proficiency on anyone she has not already tried it on today. Probably fail again, but worth a shot.

Procyon quirks his eyebrows. Do you not cook you eggs when they are scrambled?
How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, ’n’ how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, ’n’ how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind
The answer is blowin’ in the wind

Dungeon Master:

Idhrenwen tells Elusev,

" I am filthy yes, however I am not harmed. If you happen across my equipment, I would be grateful to get them back. "

Elusev heads back to the Ritual Chamber looking for the Burly Kobold named Bashka that Idhrenwen described, which happens to be the big one in the center of the pews.

The Doctor & Tuireann & smoke all stay put, in the Cell room with Idhrenwen.

As Elusev looks over Bashka he finds:
2 Azurite Gems (value ???)
Gold coins: 24
Silver coins: 32
Ring of Keys with 4 keys and a sub ringlet of 4 more keys

Again once I get a Find /Remove Traps roll from Jenks, Procyon can have a closer look at the egg/altar

Anyone else search other kobolds or the ritual chamber itself ?

Since Elusev is in the room he will search the other kobold corpses for anything of interest.

Since Arn doesn't hear anyone else coming, he heads back into the altar chamber and gives the statues on either side of the room a good examination, if no one's done that yet.

Dungeon Master:

Jenks believes he found no traps around the altar & mentions so to Procyon & the others.

Procyon moves over to the egg in a which appears to be nested into a brass bowl.

It is now covered in blood from which a bowl of it with a brush sits next to the egg.

Procyon does notice a bit of a speckled bronze color around the bottom of the egg.

Jenks looks at the pile of gold coins in the other bowl on the altar & notes there must be several hundreds inside of it!

As the rest had began searching the bodies Elusev had come in & zeroed in on the burly kobold, taking what was upon him, including the KeyRing he was looking for.

Arn, meanwhile comes back into the ritual chamber & has a look first at the monoliths up front, he noticed that one is inscribed with 'Nefret" & the opposite (right) one is inscribed with "Garez".

Arn then looked at the defaced Dwarven figures to either side of the altar but could make nothing more of them other than what was stated in the initial room description.

Found on the other bodies:

Robed Figure with Mace:
Breast Plate
Shield
Small Mace (masterwork appearance):
Pouch [1 Full Potion-like Bottle, 52 Gold Pieces, 5 Platinum Pieces, 1 Key (Opens Area #? door)]
Pouch (Small Vail (blood appearance), Small Vail (looks like dirty water), Hardened Dung)

Robed Figure with Ritual Hammer:
Robe
Ritualistic Sledgehammer
Spell Component pouch (Contains fine sand, rose petals, little balls of gum arabic with an eyelash in it)
Black Jeweled Pendant (250 Gold Pieces)
3 Keys (1 opens ? door, 1 Opens ? door, 1 opens ? door)

Burly Kobold:
Chain Shirt
Small Buckler
Short Sword
Pouch: 32 Silver Coins; 24 Gold Coins
2 Azurite Gems (Value ???)
Key Ring: 8 Keys

2 Kobold Guards:
Studded leather armor
Lgt. crossbow
Half Spear

Dungeon Master:

For searching for Secret doors:
Roll a 1d6 stating where you are looking, i.e. east wall, west wall, ceiling, floor & which 10 feet section.

A result of 1-2d6 indicates success.

An Elf just passing a Concealed door has a 1d6 chance.

Dungeon Master:

The girl says,

" I am Idhrenwen Lasseth, I was on my way to investigate the Rothad Zemet Goblin tribe at Marmor Quarry, when I was abducted by the Kobold Sorcerer Hissiz's men, whom were actually laying in

wait for Chief Fonok's men to pass by & plunder the plundered goods from Gaer Anobaith."

"When they brought me here, I learned of Galversharn's Egg, being brought in for a ritual Hissiz was going to perform with Shaman Kul, that would transform him & give him great powers."

"Oh, in addition to the 2 dire weasels, Hissiz has another pet, Bashka mentioned named, Ceasteraesc, that plays with the weasels."

Cayley

Hearing that the egg does not appear to be trapped, the priestess will approach and wash some of the blood off the egg with water from her water skin. "So are there anymore kobolds about? There are some doors we did not open. Do we check or are we leaving as soon as practicable?"

Elusev will pile his looted goods from the kobolds near the shrine and the other members of the group before taking the keys back to the prison room and freeing the woman.

Dungeon Master:

As Elusev enters back into the Cell Room, Idhrenwen says,

" Sure took you long enough there fellow, hurry up with it & get me out of here! "

Elusev shows her the key ring he found, Idhrenwen says,

" Yep, that looks like the right key ring, it's one of those four keys on the sublet ring. "

Elusev begins trying the 4 cell room keys on the sublet ring, until one finally unlocks the cell door.

When Idhrenwen comes out Smoke the Cooshee, is bunched at her feet & being petted & then hugged.

Back in the Ritual Chamber after Cayley poured some water onto the Egg, she noticed she could use a rag, now only to find one.

Party actions; more room searching (1d6 rolls needed) & or investigating another door & or leaving as soon a possible as Cayley wondered ?!?!

Cayley

Cayley takes the robe off the deceased kobold, "You won't be needing this." She then uses it to try and clean the blood off the egg. "I take it no one recalls seeing a cart or wagon we could use to move this? I guess we could carry it in a blanket, but something with wheels would certainly be easier."

"How about we roll it on the ground?" Suggested Procyon, in a fit of worry and agony over the safety of the egg. "Than we would not need to risk dropping it.

How big is the egg, again? Is it able to be carried by a single person without risk?

Arn pulls himself away from his somewhat sidetracked investigation of the statues, and responds to Cayley. 'There is always the possibility of more adventure behind unopened doors, but I also worry about our limited time. Some basic precautions to ensure that we are not followed on our way out should not take too long, but I would not want to tarry here longer than is necessary.'

With that, he moves back into the hallway and attempts to listen at the door directly opposite the altar room.

Listen check: [1d6] = 2

Dungeon Master:

The Bronze Dragon Egg is a shiny bronze color with various, varying shades of light to darker bronze specks on it.

It feels to weight about 30 pounds.

You have a mule named Tewahutes with you with 4 saddlebags on him !

Listening at Doors for Non-Thieves: (Dungeon Masters Guide P.60 1st Ed):
Dwarves, Half-Elves, Humans: 2 in 20 (10%) Chance
Elves, Halflings, Half-Orcs: 3 in 20 (15%) Chance
Gnomes: 4 in 20 (20%) Chance

So Arn I need a re-roll & you can choose rolling a D20 or D100.
