Norgrim had Garen tie a hitch around the largest of the rocks, letting us haul on it together.

Rand blushed slightly at the dwarf's jest. "Yes, yes. Certainly not the most successful attempt I have made towards making a map... Many thanks to you all for saving my feet. Again." He circled the late rock and grew excited about Garen's rope work. "I say! Is that a Gilarden hitch!? I've seen pictures but never could master it. Bravo!"

Rand set about drying his feet as best he could before donning his hastily dried boots again, having Garen show him the hitch repeatedly while remarking at the elegance of how the rope could be so secure, yet untie so easily.

FYI: the Gilarden hitch is a combination of knots developed by an old coworker of mine. I named it for him and still use whenever I camp: a slipknot and a slipped, taut line hitch is the base. Wouldn't really work on a rock...
