Phew, exposition :P

Who would ever have thought that an old-school dungeon would have so much plot?

Just a little hazy on this post: viewtopic.php?f=194&t=3860&p=177212&sid ... 43#p177016

The implication is that we are invited to take the stairs down, but then that's immediately followed with, "you had best not follow." Am I just not reading this correctly?

You are advised not to try to follow the elves once down the stairs ie don't go chasing after them in the lower level.

Just to let everyone know that a new player is joining the game. Zorroroaster will be taking over the characters Katarina and Marcus, as qazbn is no longer with us.

Okay, so currently everyone is standing around waiting for someone else to open the door.

Time is passing. Soon I will be rolling on the 'extra-nasty wandering monster' table again.

(Remember doors are nearly always jammed so you will have to roll if you want to get it open.)

I thought we had appointed a leader to decide things like when to open doors and such for us?

Catch me up on the play style here, folks. You use a caller for things like doors? Who is it?

Loman the halfling (played by FlightlessScotsman) is your glorious leader. Currently, anyway.

FlightlessScotsman is usually very reliable. I guess wait for him to post.

Sorry for the delay. I got a bit busy this weekend and today.

So, I'm wondering if Triplehappiness has wandered off into the great void beyond.

I've extrapolated a marching order for the party, based on ongoing IC narration, as follows:

FRONT

Loman Arnthorr
Katarina Marcus
Werhas Himmel
Herbert Crenshaw
Reginald Zanzibar
(Rhed)

REAR

This assumes two abreast in a typical 10ft wide corridor. If anyone has any strong objections they will need to make them pretty quickly please.

Loman and Arnthorr tanking? Haha!

Any fighty types want to volunteer?

Reginald could move to the front, or he could attack from the second rank with his spear.

Mainly cos Loman is party leader and Arnthorr is his ally/sort-of-bodyguard. Loman's gonna have to stay pretty near the front really, if he's going to remain leader.

I guess Loman and Arnthorr could drop to the second rank, if someone wants to take up 'point'.

FYI: To make life simpler I'd prefer each player's characters to remain paired up in the same row. I guess at a push Reg could move to the front alone and Zanzibar and Rhed could stay together at the back.

That would be kind of weird. Reginald is a fairly straightforward fighter, while Zanzibar prefers to hide behind his body guard. They're very different characters with no real reason to stay together except that they happen to be run by the same player.

If someone wants to come up with an alternative marching order then please feel free to do so.
