Korin takes a peek in with his infravision provided the torch holder will not mess with his sight. "Lemme check."

Re: Chapter 05: The depths of despair
N B. Just for the record, in my world, any individuals just passing through a cold stone cave corridor do not leave any heat signals hovering in the area - it's not like a vapour trail.
So, lack of residual heat signals on infravision could either mean a) nobody was there or b) someone passed through without stopping long enough to warm up the area.

Ox- Could we stand at a safe distance away and fire a flaming arrow at it see if it is flammable. He looks at the group to see if they think it is a crazy idea.

Do you all want to wait for MW's input before we continue?

Re: Chapter 05: The depths of despair
OK, in MW's absence the DM decides that Jacob, in the heat of the moment, hesitates and cannot give a clear yes or no. So it seems that the suggestion from Ox 'wins'.
Re: Chapter 05: The depths of despair
Ox Has everyone get a safe distance away then will rap the end of his arrow in cloth. Does anyone have any oil if not some one just lie the cloth and I will send it flying into the room.

Re: Chapter 05: The depths of despair
Jacob shrugs and simply tosses the torch like a javelin down the corridor, hoping it reaches a long enough distance to see if there is any ignitable gas down there.
I was gone! And it was Work related! And now I'm back!
Sorry for the absence all, life got away from me and I'm just now catching back up with it lol... I hope.

Re: Chapter 05: The depths of despair
Welcome back MW!
Jacob impatiently tosses the party's only lit torch down the narrow passage. It bounces against a wall, then lands on the floor to light up a room that looks like it's wider than said passage. Nothing catches fire or explodes. The faint smell of rotting eggs is still present in the air.

Re: Chapter 05: The depths of despair
Jacob looks at the group, "Looks like whatever is here isn't ignitable... Let's move on." Jacob will then head down the path leading to the torch, searching the floors, walls, and ceiling for traps as he goes.
