Siege of the Rift (G2 Part 4)
Re: Siege of the Rift (G2 Part 4)
Any sign that giants left through that tunnel?
Re: Siege of the Rift (G2 Part 4)
Okay, then. Outside and to the next cave to the south.

Not sure which one you mean. Can you post a map?Zhym wrote:Okay, then. Outside and to the next cave to the south.
Re: Siege of the Rift (G2 Part 4)
did you not want to check the south of the intersection? Or are you thinking there was no way on that way?

Re: Siege of the Rift (G2 Part 4)
The heroes again note that the cave to the south of the intersection is also an empty barracks, with no apparent way in or out.
As they head outside, they notice that the pathway along the Rift is the most treacherous that they've seen. The water walking/winterlands boots-wearing party members are likely to be fine if they are able to walk undisturbed. But the remainder of the party will certainly face a risk of falling if they traverse the ledge without aid of some kind.
As they stand in the visible bubble that their protection magics have created, the party needs to decide how to navigate this ledge, if at all.

Gaerys can take some spikes and the lead end of a rope, and proceed carefully forward. Arqos could follow right behind to part insects. When they reach the mouth of the cave, Gaerys could anchor the rope to the ice with a spike, and the rest of the party could hold on to it on the way down. If there's a way to heat the spike a bit, that would make it more secure in the ice.

That is what I was thinking a line of rope and spikes to help anchor us. Unless anyone has another way to get us all over this by any other means.

So let's do that. Anchor a rope where we are, then hold on to it on the way down.

[Now that there is a plan, someone has to act upon it.]

Sorry I was out for a bit there. I'm back. Is the party split up and if so which way did Andor go?

Brax takes out a few of his iron spikes and begins the task of setting an anchor as Throm and Krom start working out lengths of rope to tie to the anchor points.

Hollis keeps an eye on the sky whilst the rope is prepared but pitching in where needed.

Jinx and Flambeau make their way carefully down the ropes ledge.
Greys Campaign.
Re: Siege of the Rift (G2 Part 4)
Arqos and Gaerys also work their way down. Each has a way to walk safely on the ice, so Gaerys keeps an eye out for enemies while Arqos makes sure the others don't fall.
Re: Siege of the Rift (G2 Part 4)
Hollis crosses on his turn.
