Re: Part 6: When Golem's Attack
Alanis, a bit disappointed that the door didn't open, turns and heads towards the open area. Seeing the mimic for would may be argued as the first time he quickly points his wand at the box and casts his magical language, "Vescere bracis meis!!!!"
Alanis Rod of Wonder: [1d100] = 9
06-10 Faerie fire surrounds the target
Huh...

Re: Part 6: When Golem's Attack
The mimic lights up in a purplish outlined hue. Alanis is a little confused his wand was so powerful and now this? How lame. This makes the target easier to hit though for his friends and the odd living chest is hit by enough of the party to sly the strange beast. however the glue is secreted does not wear off. So there are some items still a bit sticky arrows and bolts sticking out of it are glued in and the melee weapons are a little sticky where they hit the thing as well as Eirik's boot on one foot. Concentrating on the door silence and nothing happens. Anyone in the golem's hallway sees a strange man looking at them from the far end of the hallway dressed in similar fashion as Lubidius. A fellow man of the shadows perhaps. You all did know from the word of others in Tragidor that there had been other adventurers that had come here looking to locate the missing men of the town. Perhaps a new fellow man at arms to aid in the cause.

Theodore nocks another arrow when he see the new stranger & approaches,
"Halt! You there, are you also searching for the missing men from town?!"

Hearing Theodore hail the stranger, Neev turns from the slain creature. "What now?" he mutters to himself. "Theodore! What is it you see?"

Malakon
Malakon sneers at elfling and says;
"No, I am here for the paladin. There is a women in the town that has been stricken by a disease of some kind. I have been tasked with fetching him. If the disease is not cured immediately there may not be anyone in the town for the men to return to.
But we're are my manners? I am Malakon Trask, wanderer,advenrurer, and security expert extraordinaire, at your service.
Malakon bows gracefully then says;
"And whom do I have the pleasure of speaking with? Can you lead me to this paladin?

Alanis looks over towards the man, then calls out, "Your target of retreival is stuck! Glued on his foot! You will have to come within the Rat King embrace in order to steal him for yourself!!"

MALAKON TRASK
Malakon sheathes his short sword and briskly walks down the hallway towards the elfling and wizard. He stops for a moment and looks the elfling up and down, then the wizard. After visually gauging them he enters the room that they said "Eirik the Just " was located in."
" This is a rather urgent matter and I get paid by how quickly it is down. Surely you understand that this makes me less then patient. If Eirik the just would come with me to the town of Tragidore to cure the diseased woman without delay, I will be more then happy to leave you fine gentlemen to continue to solve your murder mystery."
Malakon glances around the room and awaits Eirik to make response.

Re: Part 6: When Golem's Attack
the glue dissolves five rounds after the mimic dies. So Eirik will be freed up just takes a bit of time.

Thifli, Dwarf Fighter
Thifli, assessing the stranger, sneers at him. “By which way did you come to be among us? Did you encounter any hostiles while tracking down the paladin?”
Not sure if he trusts this wanderer, Thifli keeps his distance and slowly changes his position to a defensive posture.

MALAKON TRASK
" I ventured on horseback from the town until I came upon a group of dead orcs. I assumed that it was your company that slew them but I am always cautious so I sent the horse ahead. Thinking it would serve as distraction if any orcs still lived. Next I traveled the rest of the way on foot until I came upon an alternate entrance to the keep then the one you lot came threw. I searched the bowels of this place until I came upon a mirror that hid secret passage. I broke said mirror recognizing its ruse and came to the door to this room there (Malakon points at the door). I tried to pick the lock but it was proving difficult, that's when I smelled the burning door remnants. I went to investigate the smell and decided to pass thru it. that's when I came upon you. I really need to get the good paladin Eirik the just back to the town as soon as possible. If that is all mister dwarf myself and Eirik have much to discuss, so if you will excuse us?

Eirik the Just, paladin:
Eirik's serene eyes gazed upon the hooded man in leather armor, and upon the demonic-looking hilt of his sword.*
"I am Eirik the Just. I am also stuck, you see. It's going to be a moment. While we wait, pray tell me all about this woman. And about this disease, kind noble sir."

Lubidious; Human Thief
Lubidius eyes the newcomer with interest; noting he's probably a 'professional' like himself. Upon hearing that he's come for the Paladin; Lubidious shrugs his shoulders and decides to see what the party elects to do next....

Re: Part 6: When Golem's Attack
Alanis, once the newcomer walks past him and into the room, decides his time is better spent doing something else and consequently forgets all about the newcomer and the paladin. Instead he decides to walk over to the room that something was trying to open earlier, seeing if it is locked from his side.
