••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Spells

Identify — If you make your save vs. magic, one attribute will be revealed without fail. (The DM makes this roll, and will determine the ramifications of failure.) No need to use the item according to its function; a simple laying-on of hands will suffice. CON drain will be in effect; the time limit to cast the spell will not. Certain items may resist or mislead at my discretion. No live mini carp necessary.
Failure is always an option.

Container Capacities

From the Player Character Record Sheets accessory (#9028):
Carrying Capacity: This refers to the maximum volume of treasure and gear which may be carried away in containers brought by the character. Encumbrance limits supercede any extra capacity brought. Since treasure is usually coins, the volume is annotated by a detailing of how many gold pieces this would equal:
..............................Volume...............G.P. Equivalent
Small pouch............¼ cu. ft......................25 g.p.
or purse

Large pouch............½ cu. ft......................50 g.p.

Small sack or............1 cu. ft...................100 g.p.
tied shirt

Backpack..................3 cu. ft...................300 g.p.

Large sack...............4 cu. ft......................400 g.p.

Here are a few more from DRAGON® articles:

Chest, wooden = 15 g.p. per 1 g.p. weight;
Saddlebags, small (pair) = 250 g.p.;
Saddlebags, large (pair) = 1000 g.p.;
Trunk, iron = 3 g.p. per 1 g.p. weight.
Failure is always an option.
