Re: OOC Chat II
Valid points! More observations:
Another thought when privately cataloguing our antagonists--"Twelve days! twelve days!" Smoke-Njord said. I wonder what the hell happened on March 26th Or maybe its better we don't know...
(Also, in the hypothetical "Collect Exotic Hair" Contest, everyone else is seriously lagging behind Rhodri's party...)

The seer at the Harrowing told Ulf that by the time he got his strength back, it would probably be too late to save Njord. I wonder if that has anything to do with "Twelve days!"

March 26th had already passed by the time the reading was done at Harrowing.Mister-Kent wrote:I suspected it did
Re: OOC Chat II
Yeah, that occurred to me too. But maybe the 12 days didn't start until Njord got somewhere first.

What's this...? A crossroads?
Hmm, Numen did not expect to find this on map!

I'm excited by the discovery--I didn't put it there...

Ahh shall the Finger forever elude the Heroes of Vaul I think the black sword just Yoko'd this party...
Re: OOC Chat II
Don't blame the black sword! It's those shifty elves!
Re: OOC Chat II
Rhodri needs better soft skills. And Kennit appears to have some rough bark on him as well.

I like that there's some diversity in the group

That's what ultimately tore it for Orrin. He was prepared to let it slide when Numen softened somewhat, but y'all kept pressing Orrin like he was the bad guy, and all he wanted was to make sure the party was all on the same page and could count on each other.Spartakos wrote:Rhodri needs better soft skills. Re: OOC Chat II
Numen had nothing to apologize for. That's the point.

And here we find the innate conflict between the Lawful and the Chaotic, regardless of meaningless terms like "good" and "evil"

Orrin didn't ask for an apology, he wanted to know what was happening, and expressed a desire to help.KingOfCowards wrote:Numen had nothing to apologize for. That's the point.
Keep in mind too that Orrin didn't get into it until both Jem and Lug spoke up first. He just bit down a little harder. Damned stubborn dwarves.

Friendly-fire
Re: OOC Chat II
Regardless, I think it's all still productive drama--everyone still has goals they can pursue and achieve, and now there's a bit more characterization thrown into the mix. It's all you could hope for out of an intra-party conflict

Re: OOC Chat II
When you say he softened his stance, it was pretty much Numen being brow-beaten by his party* until he apologized and gave up on his personal objectives.Zorroroaster wrote:Orrin didn't ask for an apology, he wanted to know what was happening, and expressed a desire to help.KingOfCowards wrote:Numen had nothing to apologize for. * Disclaimer: Not the entire party - Naila and Remus were supportive of him doing his own thing.
Re: OOC Chat II
If only Numen could learn to stand up for himself and use the black sword to devour the souls of his former allies make a good argument to explain why he's not dangerous.
