OOC
This thread will be for Out Of Character strategy ideas, discussion, and/or questions.
I don't mind if you make OOC posts in the game thread but, if you want to discuss things in detail before making actions, this is the place for that.
I'm not totally anal about it but, I do like to keep the main game thread fairly clean and free from long irrelevant rants that would be better discussed on here.
Thanks!

Re: OOC
I said the same thing once about not minding ooc in IC threads but I've grown to dislike it I am still guilty of it myself but I do see how they really mess up IC threads for folks that have less time to post and have to catch up going through all that ooc stuff is a pain.

Re: OOC
Okay everyone, heres a quick update.
I got good news and bad news.
Good news:
I just rustled us up our last 2 players. We now have a full party of 8 brave adventurers ready to head up into the mountains! (some are already there I guess)
Bad news:
That means the new players will need a few days to create their characters so start time will be delayed a bit longer. I hope that's not a problem and I appreciate your patience.
Here is what I propose....
Seeing as how I have a gaming convention to attend this weekend and won't be posting all that much, and the new players will need a few days to finish their sheets, why don't we shoot for a start date of next Monday the 10th?
The introduction thread will continue so feel free to post away on there but the journey north won't start until everyone's characters are ready.
I hope that's cool!

Quite cool. I'm at a convention (work related, not gaming) myself so my participation will be low until next week too.OGRE MAGE wrote:Seeing as how I have a gaming convention to attend this weekend...
Which con are you attending?

Re: OOC
Hey, I'll be at that one too! Wonder if anyone one else in this game will be there.
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Ya, were pretty lucky here in the birthplace of RPG's, aka Wisconsin.
We have some really great cons around us, and the good ones are spread out almost perfectly throughout the year so you don't go broke in between them.
You're not that far away Ben, come on up man!

I don't know where in Missouri you are from, but I know a couple of guys from St. Louis who drove up to Gamehole (and Gary Con in Lake Geneva in March as well) last year and will be back this weekend.

Re: OOC
A few years ago, some friends and I went down to KC and then St. Louis to see Iron Maiden. They played Verizon Wireless in Maryland Heights. We stayed at the casino next door. After the show, we hit the casino floor and had a beer. As we were walking out, I put some money in a slot machine and hit a 1000x payout! Unfortunately, it was a penny machine, so I got $10. Not too bad for putting in a buck, though. I cashed out right away so I ended up ahead a few dollars from my time in the casino.

Casino by Verizon is now called Holywood, incase you were there when it was Harrahs.Scott308 wrote:A few years ago, some friends and I went down to KC and then St. Louis to see Iron Maiden. I was just there on Halloween, I don't gamble but my friend gave me 25 bucks while I was watching him at the blackjack table, just to see what happens since he had already doubled his initial 100 buy in. So I ended up turning that 25 dollars into 175.
Cashed out, gave him back his 25 dollars and pocketed 150.
Good casino if I say so myself

It was Hollywood already when we were there. I was happy with my ten dollars, but you kicked ass!

Re: OOC
Well, didn't get a copy of Unearthed Arcana. My games conflicted with the hours the dealer room was open so I didn't get a chance to get in there until late Saturday evening for a few minutes. I saw one copy, but it was in pretty beat up condition. I know I can find a better copy at a decent price. Gary Con is in the spring- if I don't find exactly what I want before then I am sure I can find it there.
