Yes. Accessing it will alert the guards, though they won't immediately know what is going on with your chameleon on until they hear the sounds of movement in the shaft.

Genocide will open the vent, letting the guards see it and then lightly tap the inside to make the illusion that something had just crawled inside. Once down he will continue to stay low to the ground and watch what the guards do with this new information.

Hoping to lure one or a couple over so he can even the odds a bit... we'll see what happens.

Hot Streak's flame attack consume both of the attacking drones in flames, putting them both down. The remaining clockwork bot, the tall one, is pummeled by Vorpal's sword arm attack, dropping the pipe it was carrying as a weapon.

Only the tall clockwork bot remains, Hot Streak not seeing any other clattering machines in the distance.

The four guards nearby are alerted to this and one of them breaks formation to investigate the vent opening. The others peer upwards and aim their rifles at the vent's shaft. Another guard pulls out a communication device of some sort and speaks into it.

I apologize for the short posts, especially after what seemed like a long pause on my part. Once Fabricator of Planes is finished, I will have more time to divert to finishing this game up and work on my new Gurps one for Genius Swordsman.

not sure if this will work but lets give it a shot!

As the guard approaches the vent Genocide will remain low and cloaked. Once the guard comes within range he will spring towards him and attempt to snap his neck.

Action Roll: [1d100] = 79

If successful he will then hold the body up as a shield and charge down the hallway to meet the other guards, using his superspeed to gain the distance and then deliver, hopefully, fatal strikes to each guard in turn...

Fast Attack 30, Melee 40, Damage 130: Initiative: [1d100+10] = 55+10 = 65, To-Hit: [1d100] = 99, [1d100] = 1, [1d100] = 81

Hot Streak "Just the tall one left Vorp." hot streak warns his brutally efficient friend with the sword arm. Then HS super speeds around to attack the tall clockwork from the other side as Vorpal attacks it head on.
Init[1d100 +6] = 68+6 = 74
Super Speed [1d100] = 50
Fire Attack [1d100] = 30

Vorpal nods and charges the tall clockwork left.
Init[1d100 +6] = 26+6 = 32
Sword Arm [1d100] = 82

The guard's neck is successfully snapped, and is now being used as a shield as LG approaches the three guards stationed near the door. His Fast Attack ability will kick in next round.

----

Vorpal and Hot Streak easily dispatches the final clockwork bot. They do not waste any time in returning to the abandoned building that had the clockwork drones swarming inside. The window is still open, the one on the side where Hot Streak went in and out of, however, a new opening has been made. The front door has been blasted open, quite recently from the looks of it, and three man-sized bots stand guard nearby.

Image
One of them is carrying a large chain gun, a bullet feed connected to a metal rucksack on its back. The other two are carrying bayoneted rifles. The hole they are guarding though appears to be much larger than they... you're not quite sure how they made such a big hole with those weapons. So far they have not noticed Vorpal or Hot Streak, yet.

Actions?

Hot Streak "I don't think this is going to end well old friend."

Vorpal "I cannot back down we need to find out what happened to my men." said defiantly even in his villainy Vorpal can't leave a fallen man behind and these were his men after all.

Hot Streak lacking the will to care about the lost gang members unlike Vorpal sighs "So be it, and we shall go out with a fight it would seem. Lets make it a good one as they have yet to notice us." with that Hot Streak super speeds to a side to attack from a flank while the more resilient Vorpal heads the frontal attack. SuperSpeed [1d100] = 37

Vorpal picks a way to attack from the front looking for things to hide behind as he makes his way towards the clockwork.

As Vorpal starts his forward attack, he notices that there is a car parked to the side of the road, just across the alley where the building is situated next to, potential cover. The only other items that could serve as quick shield would a mound of trash bags leaning next to some trashcans and... that's about it. Have Hot Streak roll an awareness check.

Once I get Vorpal's actions I can go from there. GreyWolfVT, you were talking about some potential options for what he can do via PM. If you have an idea of what you want him to do, feel free to post it now.

------

The three guards are taken down in a barrage of melee attacks before they can even respond. One of them manages to fire a gun in time, but the sight of an allies' dead body moving rapidly towards them is so unnerving that he misses his invisible target and riddles the body with bullets instead. After everything is said and done, the three guards are taken down, and the LG now finds himself right next to a scalding hot door that oozes in 'Get out, get away, this place is bad', keycard now in hand. What does he do?

Hahah! NO guards gonna keep Genocide down!

But... wait what? The door is scalding hot? Can it be touched without damage? Is it a door or like a vault? He wouldn't want to walk into some kind of reactor...

Hmm I swore I posted my actions ... crud....based upon what you told me via pm Vorpal can do the following

Vorpal picks up the car as a shield and charges the two clockwork guards.

The door was scalding hot. Strangely enough, the temperature has dropped considerably in the short few seconds you've been on this floor. Sounds of panic can be heard on the other side of the door, and the whole place seems to start to distort in strange wavy patterns. This is definitely unnatural and not something bad you ate early on in the day. How will LG proceed?

------

Vorpal lifts up a vehicle parked next to him and raises it as shield. He can feel what seems like a hundred bullets bounce off and pierce through the vehicle as he rams it into two of the clockwork men. The sound of metal being pinned to a building can be heard, a jumble of machinery crashing together as the vehicle sandwiches the two with muskets against the building's wall. Who does Hot Streak shoot with his flame pack?

The two clockwork men, now pinned to the building's wall, suffers 40 points of initial crushing damage each, and cannot move so long as Vorpal keeps the car pinned. The clockwork robot with the chain gun starts to spin the gun's side crank and aims it at Vorpal.

Actions and rolls please!

Genocide will cloak himself once more, making sure that he is most definitely cloaked, and then open the door... Curious as to the panicked sounds behind the mysterious door.

Upon entering the door with your newly obtained keycard, you find yourself in what appears to be a huge reactor room. The central chamber that everything seems to be connected to is slowly fading in and out of existence; this appears to be the source of the panic in the room, but whether it is the cause of the distortion you are not sure. Your animalistic instincts are telling you that whatever is in that central chamber is what was causing all that negative energy early, the dangerous threat that urged you to turn around and get out.

Just as quickly as you entered and stumbled upon this site, it ends, the central chamber disappearing and leaving a huge empty area in the center of what used to be a reactor room. All the power shuts off instantaneously as this happens, and no back-up generators kick on. Silence bears heavily in the room. A minute later, the silence is disrupted with the distinct clinking sound of metal against metal. All the guards in the room train their laser sights upon the vents up above.

The 100 was a critical failure. Since it was initiative, Vorpal goes last.

Hot Streaks shoots a jet of flames towards the clockwork man with the chain gun. The flames hit the target quickly enough to gain its attention as the crank on its weapon starts to speed up. The spray of bullets only knick Vorpal as the cone is directed towards HotStreak. GreyWolfVT, your character would have seen this coming. Go ahead and roll a dodge for him to see if he can get out of the bullet spray zone. This will be a coordination check. Vorpal loses 5 damage.

With the chain gun-wielding clockwork now focusing on HotStreak, Vorpal reapplies the car slam damage to the two pinned clockwork with bayoneted rifles. They both stop moving after the second slam, dropping their now battered weapons.

Genocide will remain cloaked and getting low will enter the now largely empty room that is filled with guards pointing their weapons at the above ventilation shafts and wait for something to happen, his curiosity getting the better of him.
