Session 13: Loden, The Crypt and the Master

#1 Post by Johnny Champion »

The party has seen the return of Tungsten and Rickul reanimate their breathing but soulless bodies. To the south lies the strange city of Loden. To the north in the foothills of a ominous mountain peak, sits the fortress of Angor. The safety of Rivermead , where the population views the party as heroes, is 20-30 miles up river. The Crypt ,where the infamous town leader Krauss emerged, is only a few miles away. The party decides on their next course of action....

DM: Requests:

1. I like the concept of a party name that Craig has asked for. I rather indicate that than use 'Party' all the time. Please come up with a party name.
2. Please provide an indication of the general direction the 'party' wishes to take.
a. Crypt
b. Loden
c. Angor
d. Rivermead
e. Ironthal
f. Back home
g. Other

DM: Your party has rested for at least a day. All spells and Hit Points are at full

Rickul is all for crypt-delving, but he won't be doing so alone. lol

Maybe we can decide on a party name tomorrow evening

Tungsten and Faelwen agree with Rickul. Before traveling anywhere else we must free the land of the evil which lies below us, the crypt.

I agree. After the party locates Arramar we send him back to Loden to tell the Viscount Orin Rothin that we have defeated the Evil Vampire Krauss Le Moi. We also tell him that we are now going to empty out the rest of the evil that resides in his Crypt.

DM: Helios Verum after defeating Torzalon for the 2nd time, rests for 15 minutes in the mummy hall. The floors have returned to normal after Tungsten located the opposing lever.

During the rest, Lumiere shows the group her crude sketches of this once beautiful building. She hopes to unlock its secrets before her time here is done.

DM: With the Helio Verum attempting to heal and gather their senses after a tough battle with Torzalon, a voice is heard in the room.

A deep resonating vocal pattern that seems to grab you from your very soul...a voice that cannot be interupted, nor can you ignore...the party stands transfixed as you listen:

"I am Drathor, I have come from the darkest layer of Abyss. I was created, if one can call it that since I have existed for millennia beyond your knowledge, to bring death to the living, to offer them as a sacrifice to the power of the dark. My kind requires this sacrifice and we all share in the joy of a willing mortal death. In this quest of the dark, I have come to your world. I have found Isok and we share a hatred of the light and ever thirst for life’s blood. Torzalon, a weak but useful tool so he was, I sense has returned to the Negative Plane. Through my deepest search of the realms, I have found Isok, powerful and thirsty, but Malazar seems to be moving his powerful subjects to thwart our plan. The name Helios Verum has entered my dream state. I knew not from whence this image has come, a light in the darkness, but it has clouded my thinking. Now I know the form, Helios Verum, the Truth of the Sun, is in the form of mere mortals…and a tree {he laughs}.

I can read your emotions even now…dread, death and eternal pain await you. Leave now or enter the Layer of Abyssal Darkness. I hunger to extinguish the light you bring forth.”

DM: As you listen this image enters your mind

Just as soon as Mooki witnessed the brave Paladin Kaleb hold her young Ent Groot above his head to protect it from sure first death by the hot oil. Mookie knew she would be more than willing to follow Her Friends to Hell! Why not the Abbys? This is the though in her head.
High guys as long as she can go up a level and buy a few things she is ready to go anywhere.
