As she finishes buttoning up the cabinets she opened, she rises and returns to her seat. "All this talk and brains is somewhat confusing to me. I think of the brain as the physical part, the mind as the conscientiousness."

Dars raises an eyebrow. "Yes. And. There's one empty jar."

Eugene - Navigator on the Bridge

"Captain, you can't be serious? Your not going to let her continue. Mr Neyland please! This is madness." Eugene levels his weapon on the girl. "It's a trick. She's after the ship or worse, us."

Agathes approaches the captain and sniffs him deeply. "No. No mind. Others?" She seems to be ignoring Eugene's leveled weapon, but narrows her eyes in his direction and her nostrils flare as she passes over him while sweeping one arm to encompass the rest of the room.

Dars nods to Eugene. "I offered to let her check me, no more. You may keep her covered, but let's not over-react. As long as she makes no hostile moves, you don't either."

Turning to Agathes, he asks, "That's it? You sniff? And have you sniffed the rest of us here on the bridge?"

[Keehnelf]

She laughs. "No, sometimes is strong smell. Smell absent if mind here. You have strong smell."

Dars shakes his head, addressing Agathes. "I have difficulty understanding you. Are you finished checking us here on the bridge? If not, let's take turns and check us all."

Addressing the rest of his crew here in the room, "Pass your weapons off when it's your turn to be checked. Keep alert, monitor near space, monitor activity onboard. Are those consoles' guts all replaced? What's Mr Jacks' progress in repairs and checks? I want the source of the systems failure tracked down; who feels best qualified to help Mr Jacks with that?"

She sniffs around the room, clearly not divining anything to turn her away, then rummages around in her bag and pulls out a small needle-gun that can be used for extracting blood samples.

"OK, who first?"

Johan will attempt to stay in the presence of the alien: I have some minor expertise in xeno studies... this is an Asgardi. He will say to those present.

OCC: Sorry to come to the party late.

Agathes looks Johan over appraisingly, perhaps even ascertaining whether he is a threat. Then she folds her hands together and gives a formal-looking bow, keeping her eyes fixed on his face.

Dars observes the passenger interacting with the stowaway, then says again, "You can test my blood. I'll take a look at your syringe first, though."

To Johan, Dars says, "What can you tell me? Have you ever heard of such a thing?"

"No need to test captain's blood. No mind. Who next?" She hands over the needle-gun. It's definitely advanced, maybe the equivalent of something that would be employed in a high-end research hospital on a core world (TL 13+), but doesn't on the face of it seem like it's dangerous beyond sucking someone's blood in small quantities for analysis.

Carter Jacks goes to the comm to ensure it is working again "Captain did you get my report? I reported back that everything is a mess but back in working order sir. Anything more you require of me or shall I remain here?"

Dars hits the comm switch. "Thank you for the update, Mr Jacks. I need to know the cause of the system failure; we need to identify the saboteur, hopefully without giving away our hand. Also, having things " a mess" is not an acceptable state. But why don't you join us on the bridge first? Id like you to hear what our stowaway has to say, and you can also decide which crewmember would be best-suited to assist you."

Dars will 'buzz' Jacks through to the bridge.

Eugene - Navigator on the bridge

Eugene carefully moves across the metal deck plating of the bridge, keeping his weapon leveled at the stowaway. He positions himself next to Samantha and says in a hushed voice
"Samantha, your the only one I can trust. That thing has control of the captain and the others. I can't do this for much longer.This needs to end quickly."
He says while straining to hold up the laser carbine.
"My arms are cramping and my lower back hurts. This gun is so fragobin heavy."
Eugene face quickly changes expression.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to swear in Droyne. I shouldn't have said that. I'm little tired."
Lower and lower the laser carbine aim sinks as Eugene's muscles begin to fail.

replies back over the comm "Aye. I'm on my way." and heads out of engineering locks the doors to engineering and wheels off to the bridge.
