Raven lowers the rifle and turns back to the group, speaking in his usual emotionless tone, "Cloud is weird. Lightning isn't doing what it normally does." He waits for the others to decide the next course of action.

Shall I just railroad you guys forward again? It seems as if you are all waiting on something... or do I need to bring the ominous cloud formation to you guys? I could make that happen.

In character Raven is waiting on the others, not being a leader...

But if it moves this thing along...

Raven begins moving towards the green clouds, making his way to the rooftops via teleportation and moving forward from there. He will check for signs of life or weird occurrences occasionally through his rifle scope.

As the heroes unanimously head out towards the strange storm activity, a strange static feeling touches all of them, as if the air itself was charged. SCAMP's circuitry is unaffected, by this but he is concerned nevertheless. The material he secretly picked up on his scanners is growing stronger and stronger with each passing second. SCAMP relays what he knows mentally to the Professor, detailing the chemical composition of ichnorite and what Maurice already knows about it. Professor Perryton is startled by this revelation and shows signs of actual panic in his demeanor, losing his usual cool and collectedness. "We needed that Vibranium yesterday! Of all the confoundent things to happen... *sigh* Let's see just how grave the situation is. If the Rook Industries is involved in any way, we need to know." The professor and SCAMP both follow Raven, Flicker and Aether.

The heroic group, upon entering the war-torn block, stumbles across heaps of dead ASF guards, gang members of all sorts, and even heroes. A nasty fight went down here, and it sounds like its not over yet. Large explosions echo nearby and the sounds of something else pierces the air, howls, animal like howls. The storm clouds remain green, but the thundering and lightning seems to stop, at least for now.

As Raven navigates the rooftops, he surveys the grounds below and gets a visual on the source of the noises everyone has been hearing. The figures down below, they all look like some sort of mutant soldier army. Some are big and hulking with armor and heavy weapons, others are slimmer and carry long rifles, and then there are those who wear no armor but appear more alien like than human. These three types of figures are now found by the dozens as they swarm the streets below. Shooting and clawing all the rest of the gangs away with ease. There are no more heroes left in the area to combat them. As you watch them do their thing, you notice that they are all heading towards one direction. Looking farther off in the distance, all you can see is this giant collection of smoke stacks, probably from some sort of factory or power plant, your not quite sure.

As Raven move his rifle up, his scope spots a solitary figure perched over a rooftop ledge. He too looks down at the chaos, but a twisted smile is found on his face...

Raven gives a curious look to the strange solitary figure, checking through his rifle scope some more to see if he may be directing the army in some way.

He will wait a moment, keeping low and hopefully out of sight as he watches, Then he will teleport down to his companions and tell them everything he saw, giving short descriptions of the mutants and the general direction they seem to be heading in.

When SCAMP hears about the figure on the ledge, he reaches out and listens for thoughts from the figure.

The thoughts are picked up by SCAMP, but they come in scattered, or appear to be scattered. It's a thought process that is erratic and almost animalistic, very unnerving. What you can make out though is even more so!

The man with the yellow eyes and bright violet hair thinks crazy thoughts. He thinks of his 'allies' as playthings, of the mutants below as more playthings, everyone being fairgame for the slaughter. Emotions of sadness float up, but not for the reasons you would think. Confusion swamps the mind, an internal battle between another? Thoughts of a smokestack burn into the final glimpses of the mind, and a dark curiosity.

SCAMP is unable to pick up on any lines of inner dialogue, only base emotions and mental pictures.

We have to get to those smokestacks, thinks S.C.A.M.P. to the others. But we need to take out that person on the rooftops first. Quickly!

Raven looks at the dog curiously, "Is he a threat? What did you get from him?" he begins checking his sniper rifle, ready to do whatever is needed.

I'm created to act and think like an animal, replies S.C.A.M.P. But whoever is up there is an animal in a crazed, primal way. He sees allies and mutants as playthings. I don't know what he wants or what he's doing, but I know a bad man when I look at one's mind.

That green in the sky? It's ichnorite—part chemical, part living organism, and all bad. We have to do something about it. But I don't know what.

Raven gets even more confused, "A human with an animal mind? Weird." He accepts the situation however, readying his rifle and making his way back up to the roof to see if the animal mind guy is still there...

"The green storm is beyond me I'm afraid," says the professor in simple english. "But I do know this, the smokestacks you spoke of most likely belong to the Rook Industries power plant, and if everyone seems to be gravitating there, we might have to intervene instead of sneaking in. I will get a better idea of the situation once we collect more information."

The professor takes note of SCAMP's analysis of the man he found earlier and nods towards in agreement of him being dangerous. "A man who has lost his mind or has been reduced down to an animal cannot be reasoned with. Either we avoid him or confront him, the latter being most likely."

And with that the professor follows the group's lead.

You guys going to make a straight shot towards the plant, or check out the activity happening a short distance away, the activity that Raven spotted with this sniper rifle scope?

Raven looks around for the animal man some more before returning to the group via teleportation. "He was gone. Do we go to the plant or go to the army?"

Maximillian Arikas [Aether]:

Says,

" Perhaps we should beeline to the plant to try & contain that Galactic Gloop, first, then deal with the criminals. "

Pulpatoon nods in agreement with his student's suggestion.

From a street-level view, you cannot see the smokestacks of the power plant, but you can follow the path of destruction made by the mysterious mutant army spotted by Raven. If you take to higher ground, you can clearly see where the power plant is, the only question would be how you all get there.

Traveling high and potentialy through those green storm clouds could be a fast and conflict free route, but you risk the chance of recieving radiation/poison damage.

Going by ground will free you from such threats, but then you will have the mutant army to contend with, if you are not stealthy enough.

Teleportation may get you their even faster yet, but you run the risk of appearing at the location unconscious, which, considering what is going on right now, could be VERY dangerous.

Maximillian Arikas (Aether) & Steve Sanderson (Flicker):

Flicker says,

" Maybe if we can get somewhere between that mutant army & the powerplant so we can better gauge where the Ichnorite is coming from. "

" Max can you create a tornado around the powerplant to try & contain that green stuff inside the funnel? "

Max says,

" Uhmm, well, I can try, never done that before. "

By himself, Max would be incapable of doing that, even with a critical success roll. He could however, create a sphere of clean air around the group if he constantly filters it using his abilities.

Let's do that then, traveling by rooftop and filtering the air until we get to the power plant.
