Investigating the Throne Room
Shen the monk cautiously crosses the room, keen eyes alert.
Idwellin the druid and
Poltux the fighter follow after him. They see the pillars are carved with scenes of dragons in flight. The faded tapestries include Lady Myshella, for the adventurers recognize her visage from the other tapestries and books in the Library. The wooden throne is impressive, though not as grand as the more ceremonial throne in the first floor throne room. The warrior statues to each side of it appear to be knights, judging from their plate mail and heraldic insignia. The fireplaces in the north and south walls are empty.
Ianin the conjuror dons his
Torc of Extra-Sensory Perception and his mind's eye expands into the realm of thought. He lets fall the swirl of thoughts from his comrades - the hobbit is hungry, Raquinel wonders if Idwellin likes her, Shen thinks he found a secret door, Poltux is concerned his skills aren't what they use to be - and focuses on the statues. He reads no thoughts from them, nor do they seem receptive to his own thought projections.
Judging by the dust, it appears Durandal has not been in this room - echoing Andover the ranger's finding no tracks.
Shen discovers a secret door in the northwest corner!
