I don't know why I keep trying, he has never once made his roll to know where he is.
Dude has horrible sense of direction it seems...

I love the confidence though
Re: OOC & MW's Chat Hut
Totally off the subject: I just found these gorgeous photos, which might provide some inspiration next time we wander through a forest.

Wow! Nice! I'm trying to use more images, generally. Thanks!
Yes, Bürd definitely has traveled down through the Olfdene, before. The question is whether he passed through the White Mountains from the East (entering the valley at Stoat), or if he came straight south from the mouth of the Olfdene (entering the valley at Foyle).
Anvil Peak is probably closer than Delvdür. Delvdür is on the map to show that there is vague knowledge that it's in that part of the world, but it's far enough away that it's more myth than anything else.
Hmm. At a guess, I'd say that Anvil Peak is in the mountain range to the north of Olfdene, perhaps where the river divides into the Sinann and the Serene. How does that sound to you? In which case, whether or not Bürd has actually visited these towns depends on how much he wandered before settling down.
.mb, would you care to name the mountain range before it splits into the White Mountains and the Longwall? Howsabout the river, before it splits?
I'll answer this over here, so that I can keep the Wider World thread as just reference material.mb. wrote:Just for my memory, and to get a feeling where Bürd – as the only semi-well-travelled member of the party – might have already been:
Delvdür on this map is where the nearest Dwarven settlements would be found, right? So Bürd's home of Anvil Peak Holdfast would be up there somewhere? So it'd be reasonable to assume he's passed through some of the towns between there and Herebury?

Re: OOC & MW's Chat Hut
Them mountains're lousy with Dwarves, so of course they're called the Iron Spine mountains. And the river is the Kolstrom to the dwarves, but mostly called just The Cold by the local humans.
Re: OOC & MW's Chat Hut
Would anybody mind if I share the villages you guys wrote on my gaming blog?

I have no problems!
I'm glad you think so highly of our descriptions that they're worth posting in other places!

Re: OOC & MW's Chat Hut
No worries. As you can see, the rest of the Stoat contingent hasn't been around much, either.
The Herebury party is getting closer, however. Once the two parties merge, I'll have to drop any characters who aren't being updated.

Re: OOC & MW's Chat Hut
Guys, sorry for the posting delay. Sickness now, and work piling up as a result, so it may be a few days before I can bring the goods.
Re: OOC & MW's Chat Hut
Guys,
I'm starting a 3 week trip today. I'll try to keep up, but if I don't manage every day, just assume that Bürd is being uncharacteristically quiet.
