Zix tucks the ring into her belt pouch. Noting the lack of entrances, Zix demands of the halfling "How did you get in here?"

Zix releases the halfling, puts on the magic ring, and climbs up the east wall to the balcony.

Zix scales the wall, leaps for tthe edge of the jutting balcony, grabs it and climbs over. She stands in front of the door. It is normal in appearance and has a lock.

Zix searches the door for traps, observing first the frame for seams, anomolies, protrusions and such. Then the floor in front, ceiling above, then the door in similar fashion. The elf gently taps looking for hollow spots. She finds no traps, but knows the door is locked.

The lock yields to Zix's deft picking. Steep stairs ascend upwards 30' before ending at another door. It's the first time the thief has encountered stairs going up. Can this mean she is reaching the surface again and an end to her Run?

Zix probes and looks for traps as she continues up the stairs to the door. The stairs ascend steeply and for some distance, gently curving northeast. The elf finds no dangers. The thief hears voices behind the door; light comes out from underneath.

Zix will attempt to make out what the voices are saying.
And peek under the door to see if she can see anything.

The sounds are too muffled for Zix's ears to discern words. The space under the door is to thin to afford a view.

Zix will slowly turn the handle and crack the door, then take her mirror out and peek around the corner.

Zix opens the door and peeks in. In the room is the Guild Lieutenant and another man. They smile and motion her in. "Congratulations! You have competed the Run!" He pats Zix on the back and shows her out and up to the Guild building, where the elven thief is healed of her remaining wounds and offered a fine meal and drink.
Thanks for playing! That was fun. Here is the map; it contains superfluous secret side-corridors for the Guild that the Runner wouldn't be exposed to. I made few modifications. One was adding the whole mock-room arc with riddles, etc.

Thank you! That was fun. I hope I kept you guessing. I enjoyed the riddle room. Now I need to figure out what to do next. Have you ever considered a "post-run" campaign?
