Blake tries to get up for another shot at the freak of nature.

Init[1d100 +6] = 1+6 = 7
Fireball Attack[1d100] = 73

the roller seriously has gotten worse for me.....

The 'freak of nature' fires off another blast from his gun, hitting the stairs right in front of Hot Streak. From the angle he is firing from, he cannot get any clean shots in, but the blast sends Hot Streak flying towards the windowed corridor. Before he makes his rough landing, he performs an aerial shot from his pyro pack, launching a retaliatory fire ball at the soldier. It strikes solidly at its face, dealing another 40 points of damage. Hot Streak's landing was indeed rough and he loses 5 points of damage from the throw. (Your damage count is full do the resting period from earlier, so you have only lost 5 points of damage so far.)

End of Round 3. (Round 2 was your superspeed fail)
Battle Result: The super soldier wins initiative and continues to fire his gun at Hot Streak. No direct hits occur, but the flooring is destroyed as well as the right staircase. Hot Streak damages his enemy again for another 40 points, but loses 5 himself from being thrown by the explosion. He is now in the windowed corridor, second floor, and has lost sight of the soldier that was pursuing him.

Hot Streak takes to superspeed to the other stairwell before it too is destroyed and he has no way down.

SuperSpeed[1d100] = 32

There are multiple stairwells throughout the hotel, the ones near the front entrance being totaled, at least on your side of the hotel that is. Do you plan on heading east to the second level and descend some stairs that way, or head back west and jump to the otherside. Remember, the super soldier blew up the balcony walkway and nearest flight of stairs.

Yeah I knew that but you made it sound originally that there was 2 stairs on the front and that was it. He only destroyed one set of those. But yes the only way down that's where I'm going.

What I'm trying to say is that the front entrance staircases is not the only way up and down. There are other sets of stairs throughout the hotel to allow access from floor to floor. Will you be heading into the front entrance again, jumping over the blasted balcony, and rush down the western staircase, or will you continue east down the windowed corridor and look for the stairs leading down that way?

I apologize if I was not specific enough in my explanation of the area.

Nah I get you now. I will try and superspeed sneak up on the damned thing from the other stairs.

Alright, after about a half minute of super speed searching, you find yourself going down another set of stairs to the east and back onto the first floor. You are currently in the vending machine area, behind one of the walls inside.

Hot Streak will stay put for the moment. Looking to see where the beast is. Once he either hears it or can see it he will speed up around to the back of the thing and blast it.

Hot Streak peers around the corner and finds that the armored soldier with the gun is busy setting something up, a device of some sorts on the ground. His back is turned to you and he appears to have his focus on the project before him at the moment.

If you are going to blast it in the back for a surprise attack, you will need to provide a roll for me to determine the success of the attack.

The fireball blast hits him square in the back again. The soldier still reeling from the attack, drops to his knees and slams his fist into the ground to prop himself up. It looks like he is barely able keep himself up, severely weakened from the three fireball blasts in a row. Still smoldering, he tries to finish his adjustments to the device, typing something into a control pad located on one of his arm bracers. The device starts to flash a couple of times, making some sounds as waves of light start to surge from it. The soldier appears to try to crawl away from it now.

Sorry for the delay. No excuses this time, It has just been a case of poor time management on my part, juggling work and all that, oh wait... that would be considered an excuse. Oh well! :P

Hot Streak makes another fire blast at the monstrosity. Aiming between the beast and the device.

The pulses of light emenating from the device shakes the surrounding area in a sudden series of tremors. You expect the floor to split or something, but instead hear a strange sound outside. You find that you have little time to investigate and want to put this creature down quickly. Using another fireball charge on your pack, you send the crawling figure to a permenant state of "not moving", the device nearby also having been totaled.

As you head outside, you find that the energy barrier keeping you enclosed in the hotel radius is starting to act up, malfunction. The semi-translucent state of the barrier flickers every now and then violently with a arc of electricity, holes appearing and dissapearing in its intricate web. Whatever that device did, it messed with the barrier.

Hot Streak at this stage will try and locate either Sym or Vorpal to inform of the damage to the barrier.

Scanning the front entrance of the abandoned hotel, the obstacle course section from earlier, you find no signs of Symbiosis. You do, however, here the sound of glass shattering in the background and the sound of a creature screeching. The noises come from the leftern side of the hotel, your not sure which floor.

Hot Streak super speeds off trying to follow the noise hoping it is Vorpal.

The noise was sudden and brief. You have little to go off of after entering the hotel again, but you think it could have taken place on the second or third floor. You rush up the leftern staircase and peer down the windowed corridor on the second floor. Though there are no immediate signs of danger nearby, you can hear the echoes of another creature in the far distance, on the right side of the hotel.
