Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Ianin winces slightly at the loud crack of bone possibly breaking and quickly grabs a hold of Raquinel's arm and drags her away as the other members converge on the giant child. Ianin will check to see her over, seeing if she will wake up and how severe her injury was. He will attempt any kind of first aid that he thinks may help until someone can heal her.

Poltux stabs away at the ten-footer.
Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Honnilee whirls around, shocked that something so large could slip by her, and fires another sling bullet at the young Giant.
Thief to hit sling (THACO: 20) [1d20+2] = 6+2 = 8 S/M Damage [1d4+1] = 2+1 = 3 L Damage [1d6+1] = 2+1 = 3

Much as he wants to keep his concentration in gear, Flint will move slowly away from the new melee if he must.

Three Heads Are Better Than One? - Round 8
In the burning room, Andover, Poltux and Bjorn battle the two remaining injured giants. Three morkocks join them. The giants are in trouble. They flail their three arms, attacking and fending off the crazed morlocks.
Andover the ranger lunges at the injured largest giant. His sword pierces the creature's belly. Entrails slip out, blood gurgles from mouth, the giant slumps down dead.
Poltux savagely stabs the remaining 10' giant. His javelin gashes its right forearm. All hear Raquinel's scream, and the crack of spinal cord, in the next room.
In the doorway between the rooms Shen, Honnilee and Flint spin around and face the youth giant. In a fury over the death of his father, it punches Idwellin, from whose shoulders he just ripped Raquinel. Two of the giants' three fists pummel the druid (11 HP.) While doing this he tramples the body of Raquinel underfoot (3 HP.) Idwellin grimaces and tries to spear the young giant, but his battering ruins the thrust.
Honnilee fires her sling at it; the stone misses, almost hitting Idwellin who is right next to the giant. Shen twirls in a cartwheel, stops before the giant, and trips (fumble) over Raquinel's extravagantly long cloak.
Bjorn the cleric breaks off and runs into the other room to help Raquinel. The dwarf sees her prone on the floor. He rushes the giant, magic mace swinging in a low arc that batters its right leg. Durandal the cleric grazes the giant with his own mace (1 HP.)
Ianin the conjurer darts forward, grabs Raquinel and pulls her to the side. He is relieved to feel a very weak pulse, but he cannot revive her. Flint the illusionist looks over Ianin's shoulder.

Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Having to come save an unconscious group member has Ianin in a foul mood now, "Bjorn, come here and tend the lovely Raquinel; it seems she has been heavily injured, I shall help solve with this Giant situation." He then checks to make sure his Ring is on his finger, readying his staff he makes his way to the child giant, throwing a dagger as he moves.
Ianin, thrown dagger THAC1 20 : to hit: [1d20] = 7, damage [1d4] = 1/[1d3] = 1

Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Andover brings a mighty stroke down upon the injured 10' giant, perhaps giving the juvenile giant something else to cry about. If that attack finishes off the adult, Andover will try to circle around to take on the child.

Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Bjorn unfortunately does not hear the words he is in a rage having seen Raquinel injured or hurt has him in a full on dwarf rage. "RAQUINEL! he roars with a sing at the youth giant.

Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Flint once again takes a step back, fearing any lapse in concentration.
Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Honnilee again calls upon her magic ring, not wanting to risk nailing her comrads with another sling load. She draws her short sword and looks for a way to attack the young Giant from behind.
Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Poltux, enjoying the blood fly, the stank of the Giant's kitchen and the screams of pain, thrusts his javelin hard at the 10' giant with a smile on his face.
Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Shen punches the young giant with the Ring of the Ram (1 charge)

Three Heads Are Better Than One? - Round 9
In the burning room Andover, Poltux and the two morloks kill the remaining 10' giant. The ranger leaps into the air and brings his sword down two-handed, sinking it hilt-deep into the giant. With savage glee, the creatures of the red cavern bite, claw and hack at the hermaphro-giant. A breast is cleaved, an arm torn off, a jugular ripped. Poltux's javelin strikes dead flesh. Andover and Poltux rush into the other room.
In the other room, the youth giant punches with his three arms. One flattens Idwellin the druid (6 HP, at 0/17), who falls down and doesn't get up. The other big meaty fist whacks Bjorn the cleric (3 HP.)
Ianin calls for Bjorn the cleric to help the dying Raquinel (-7 HP.) The dwarf rages, his battle lust propelling his enchanted mace into the youth giant's stomach. The creature hyper-ventilates from the blow.
Honnilee the hobbit twists her ring and three mirror images spring forth. They scurry around the giant and stabs its flank with her/their short swords (2 HP.) Shen the monk shouts the activation phrase to his Ring of the Ram. It sparks?! Then the ram head forms and pummels the giant (3 HP.)
In desperation, Ianin throws his dagger at the giant in the midst of combat with others. The dagger misses, passing a few inches from Bjorn's head. Durandal the cleric joins in again, swinging his mace and slamming into the giant's right leg (4 HP)!
The youth giant staggers, heavily wounded from the battering.

Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Shen does a roundhouse kick at the little guy.
Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Poltux rushes in and goes right at the youth giant with his javelin. With an attention-getting cry, he shouts Me! Come at me you smelly goat!"
Re: Chpt. 3 - The Wonders of the Palace
Andover turns his attention to the juvenile giant. "Time to put you out of your misery, 'little' one" he says as Spellslasher again tastes giant flesh.

Three Heads Are Better Than One? - Round 10
The young giant flails wildly, bleeding, battered, outnumbered. Shen the monk maneuvers for a roundhouse kick, slamming its knee. Poltux the fighter thrusts his javelin, scraping hip muscle and bone. Andover the ranger cleaves with Spellslasher, piercing skin, ribs, spleen. Honnilee swings her short sword.
The two remaining morloks rush in from the burning room. They leap upon the injured giant, clawing its head and biting an ear off. The giant shrieks, topples and dies. Suddenly the morloks dissipate in a puff of red mist. The bodies of the youth giant and three giants in the west room abruptly disappear.
Whispering Flint lets out an uncharacteristically loud yelp in surprise at what he sees through his jeweled eye patch (see PM.)
Bjorn the cleric rushes over to Raquinel and brings down divine healing on her. She still looks on deaths bed (-5 HP.) Durandal the cleric tends to the unconscious Idwellin, applying a heal blessing of his own to the big druid (7 HP.) Ianin looks on in concern.
The giants are dead. Smoke bellows out from the door to the west room.

Ianin
"Bjorn, if you are able, try to heal her again, it would be a shame if we lost one of our own here; If not I am sure Durandal may be of some assistance." Ianin then walks over to retrieve his thrown dagger.
Bjorn should have one more CLW I think...
