If there are voices they must okay right? Tub says quietly, right?
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Cilian shrugs, "I guess. But how do we get around this hole? Or safely down the hole, if not around? We're short on rope at this point..."

OOC: What does the hole look like? Can we see down it at all?

Is there a slope we can slide down it safely enough?
Wonder if a human chain would work... yup, the straws, I grasp at them.

hole looks to be much like a sinkhole but it is an an angle instead of astraight drop, like a steep hill would be.

It extends beyond your torch light you have no idea how far.

"Can barely hear them down there, guys. They must've slid for quite a ways," Vik offers with more than a tinge of concern. He then begins to assess the tunnel by the sinkhole to see how viable it would be to spike the rope there if they retrieve it. "Hang tight you guys!" he yells down the sinkhole as loudly as he can.

He then turns back to converse with the others. "Not sure if'n ya'all have any better idears, but I'm thinking we may need to use our rope here after all. Not like we gotta make a quick escape or anything like we was worried bout earlier. What does worry me is that if we all go slidin down there, we might not be able to get back up 'n out. Whadaya guys think we should do?"

Lowering the weighted rope might reach them? If we go climbing down the rope, we might be wasting it. We cant leave them, so .....if lowering the rope alone doesnt work, then ...... maybe we ought to just slide down too.

Cilian thinks for a moment, "Even if we get them up out of the hole, we still have to cross this pit to get to the other side. Isn't like we're going to be taking a running leap at it or anything. What if we somehow brace spears or staves across the opening? But you're right... if they're still talking, then they haven't gone anywhere. It's probably because they can't. We'll need the rope to pull them out."

Is Tub blocked from going back?
If not Tub will, with a dramatic sigh, head back to get the rope.

there is no room to squeeze back past the others behind you or even turn around. Everyone would have to back out.

So then we all back out so Tub can go get a section of the rope.

Viktor dusts himself and his belongings off with a seemingly injured outlook. "Wonder if 50 feet a rope will make it down to 'em? Might as well grab the whole damn thing and hope it'll reach. If it doesn't, and we all decide ta slide down, we could get trapped down there if we can't climb back out," he warns out loud, hoping that won't be the case but knowing their options are limited.

After a few moments of consideration, he snaps out of his reverie and turns to his guild brother. He knows the slightly smaller in stature thief is easily a much better climber than he is. "Be careful retrieving that rope, Tub..."

"Lowering the lightest of us, down to them just might work." Osric says, as he looks at the smallest and lightest of the bunch.

Better snap from a different reverie, Argennian, 'cause I don't think Tubs is a halfling...

I like to think of him as wirey!

Tub will climb back up the rope to detach it from the spike.
Then he tosses the whole 100' of rope down to the party.

Then he climbs back down.
[1d100] = 9
 Apparently like a spider! 8-)

Tub cracks his knuckles and quickly scurries up the mesa wall like a bug, unties the rope and climbs back down.
