Party Treasure

Glad you all worked out the treasure split.

Like most 1e worlds (IME, at least), there aren't magic item shops that have a a huge range of items available, but there will be contacts with civlization soon, which will offer limited opportunities to buy, sell, and trade gear. Consistent with the books/show, there is very little available at the Fist -- they would have offered what they could spare to the party in the first place.

To start, all party members receive 75,000 XP. Please update your sheets accordingly. (Ethan -- do Marcus as well.)

In addition, the party has determined that the suit of armor recovered is Scale Mail +4. Its fine craftsmanship permits movement at 120'.

Nice one - slight update to my recent PM is now needed. Hollis has levelled (taking the 10% bonus into account on the 75k). Is this automatically attained so I should roll for hp etc?

Pop him up to Level 7. That way, he becomes a viable party member rather than an after thought.

When looking this stuff up last night, I noticed that the potion of heroism won't affect Ethan because he's 10th level. It would give Marcus a temporary level boost, though.

I was thinking about what treasure is worth stashing in the bag of holding. Here's what we have, with estimated amounts and weights:

• "Tens of thousands" of copper Stark coins (100/1#): Even 30,000 of these things are worth only 300 gp and weigh 300 lbs. Leave them.
• "Thousands" of silver pieces: Suppose that's 3,000 sp. That's worth 300 gp and weighs 300 lbs. Probably not worth taking.
• 27 1/2 lb. copper ingots: No idea what these are worth, but if they're worth even 50 gp per ingot (assuming pure copper is worth more than an equivalent number of copper pieces), that's 1,350 gp. If they're worth 5 per ingot, it's 135 gp. Given the uncertainty and that the ingots are only 13.5 lbs in a bag that can hold 1,000 lbs, they're probably worth taking for now, but would be the first to get dumped if we have 13.5 pounds of something more worthwhile (e.g. gold).
• 1,000 small gems of mediocre quality: 1,000 gp value; weight uncertain (20/lb?). If they weigh the same as a gp or less, probably worth taking.
• 20,000 Braavosian coins (100=1 lb.): 20,000 g.p. in 200 lbs. Take them. Duh.
• 5,000 gp (in the Keeper's room): 5,000 g.p. in 500 lbs. Fill whatever room we have left in the bag with this before leaving?

By my reckoning, if we load the copper ingots, gems, Braavosian coins, and Keeper's gold, that's about 26,135-27,350 gp in value and 763.5/1000 lbs used in the bag of holding.

We also have one chest with a lock we couldn't open. It could be more of the same low value stuff, or somethimg better. Vor has knock, if we are interested in finding out...?

I asked Magnus about that in PM and be said it's basically off the table. Not sure why, but it sounds like we shouldn't concern ourselves with it.

A knock spell would not be off the table. My point is that the party would not get another bite at the apple by way of thief skills.

I strongly prefer the bag be on someone's sheet but would not jip the party if it took 2-3 rounds of posting to determine who would carry it.
