Okay! I've got Maps for the Silver Vale/Nentir Vale, Lakeside and the area around it posted up in Game Resources. I've also got your Character Sheets and the game rules posted there.

I have unfinished business with Francisco and Avandar the Wise to finish up, so there will be a thread for that. Once that is finished, I think everyone will be done and ready for a group thread.

Your immediate plan, as I remember it, was to have a "Parley" with some Kobolds at midnight to discuss why they have come down to Lakeside and what can be done to encourage them to go back where they came from.

You then were going to The Ruins of Fastomel, as I understand it, to do several things: the Priests at the Temple want you to go to find the ruins of a temple and recover some religious tomes for them; there are some Barklings there that need to be dealt with; and (it hasn't come up yet, but is about to) Avandar wants don Francisco to recover some scrolls from the remains of a Wizard's Tower there he has heard about. Is that about right?

Oh, and in the long run, there is still something of a mystery about the Orphanage in Lakeside and what to do with the orphans there. Right?

OTOH, if you all decide to do something else..."Hey! I'll go with the flow."

Terry, I think you can directly edit your sheet. If you can't I'll do it for you, but I thought I set it up where you have edit access. (maybe not here, I haven't tried it on this forum).

Edit: Oh drat! I guess you can't. I'll add the Cloak to your sheet and reduce your coin to nil.

Great to see you all! We're still missing Greg (Malcolm) and Bob (Carinniel). I hope they appear soon.

I've added a Thread in Game Resources called Quests where the quests your party has take on are recorded. It's locked, but I'll update it if I have something wrong and when you complete them.

There is another thread in Game Resources called The Ruins of Fastomel with some info on that place and the two quests associated with it.

I was going to say no, but why should I? So, I'm going to say YES, all of you start with one Equipment Pack...of your choice.

One more thing! I don't know if I included it in the Adventurers! rule writeup, but we're using Equipment Slots for encumbrance.

Encumbrance: You have equipment slots equal to 10 + Con. Most things take 1 slot, some take more than one. If you fill your slots you have to drop something to take up something else.

Backpacks (other than Equipment Packs) can hold 6 items in and on them and take 2 slots.
Equipment Packs can fit all items on their list in/on the pack and take only 3 slots.
Sacks can hold 6 items in them, take 2 slot, but need a hand free to carry them.
Small Chests can hold 10 items, take 3 slots, but need two hands free to carry them (one hand each from two PC's is ok).

I'm going to use Shadowdark to pull number of slots for gear and treasure, I think.

Happy New Year Everyone!

I'm starting a new game here called Shadows in the Dark using Shadowdark RPG. The Quickstart is free and is all players need. It is to be a hex/dungeon crawl game, somewhat West Marches style. If any of you would like to join I'd love that.

Having read the Shadowdark rules, I'm taken aback at how close they are to what I've been working on. I might just run everything using these rules.
