Welcome to Dicey!

As for the party fund - where is that going to be kept at? Someone going to keep it while we are in the dungeon or do we have some sort of factor/bank/trusted barkeep that we can store the money with?

Somehow I feel assured and trepidation equally.

I typically like to integrate new PCs as quickly and smoothly into the party. Dirk shows up, says hey, is implicitly trusted and accepted by the party.

For you, Dicey, the PCs are back to town after their first successful delve. As soon as they are healed will be heading back, I'm guessing.
Thanks all for welcomes!

Thirdkingdom, should I just insert myself into the action at The Turtles Shell or apothecary?

Either one. Actions on this game day are somewhat fungible.

Okay, the person holding the funds is here. Are we going to suggest a percentage to allocate to a group fund or people give as they see fit?

I was thinking that 500 gp each was pretty steep but identifying magic items is 1000 gp a pop. So maybe we start with that and revisit the next time we come to town and cash in our treasure?

I've only got a bit over 400gp left, but I do need to unbuy some things (holy water, firesalve, lantern, oil) if they are going to come out of the group fund, so I should be able to make 500.

Let's make a list of the items we're buying from the group fund. Copy my post and add anything I'm missing.

Mule for 30 gp
20 flasks of oil for 40 gp

tk, does it make sense for you to just give us a number in gold pieces to represent the supplies we're buying for the goblins, rather than have to spell it out?

Are we planning to order any healing from the apothecary? Anti-venom 250gp, healing draught 400gp.

Starting with 2500 gp

Mule for 30 gp
20 flasks of oil for 40 gp
2 lanterns, 20 gp
3 flasks of holy water, 75gp
1 firesalve, 25 gp
Grappling hook, 25gp
50' rope x2, 2gp

Current total spend is: 217 gp.

Healing draught is ok by me; from a metagaming perspective, I don't know if we're going to see any venomous/poisonous enemies at level 1 so we might wait on that.
