Not in love with the welcome they receive from the upper cave entrance, the pair return to the floor of the ravine where everyone seems ready to depart.

Crabgrass moves a little closer to the cave where they saw the troll earlier, still hearing the aggressive munching sounds of the beast as it chows down on dead goblin parts.

When Reda mentions that he's heard stories of groups who've traveled to and from this area each day, it seems the prudent decision would be to head back to the keep where rest and recovery can be done in safety, instead of attempting to camp in the woods, which might prove crowded with this much action so close by.

As they leave the ravine and head back towards the trail through the woods that leads out to the main road, the group hear some rustling noises through the trees up ahead.

Jumping off the trail and straining their eyes to see what it is, Keya spots a small group of what appears to be halflings headed up the same trail, directly towards you. They are walking and talking normally, so you don't think they've noticed you yet.

The gnome ducks into the brush, keeping quiet and moving a bit away from the others. He attempts to watch the normal-sized folk walking toward them and see if he can catch any signs of cant: hand signals and whatnot.
