Being scrupulously fair, the Quartermaster doesn't even think about taking advantage of this situation.

"Watch closely. These are gold, and each one is worth 20 silver. And these are copper. 10 of these makes one silver coin. Is that sinking in so far?"

He makes the exact change for Rida, making sure he understands the cost of each purchase, trying to get him to understand the value of each coin.

He tucks his coin pouch away and packs his gear and heads back to the tavern.
