Khawla

Khawla follows Elwood's lead and searches the room for secret doors, etc.

Tumbler hear's Khawal's suggestion but hesitates for a moment. He is already in pain, both physically and emotionally, after messing up in front of the group. Although he has spent years as an apprentice learning his trade, this is his first real foray out on his own. How would it look if he messed up again? Could he even survive another botched trap? His confidence is completely drained but he doesn't want to back down either.

I'll emmmm, take a look and see if I can figure it he says before looking only at the gears and pulleys. He tries to figure out what it does and how it may function.

Yooooo, Tumbler can't catch a break. His rolls are poo.

Elwood and Khawla notice there are tiny shafts of light coming from the wall on the north side of the room...

Tuga figured no matter how small he is, that he could not fit there.

He will look thru the holes in the door providing light.

Inner Sea Region, Starstone Isle, Otari Fishery Basement
Desnus, Starday 6, 4719 AR, Approx. 12:05 AM

The companions spend a few minutes in the room looking around but not really doing anything.
Meanwhile, out in the main area, Gurkan and Red stand watch. Red suddenly perks up and walks cautiously toward the closed door to the right of the small chamber. She sniffs the door, then makes a growling sound. Gurkan knows she smells enemies on the other side of the door.

Elwood leaves the poking and prodding to the experts and goes out to check on Gurkan and Red. "See anythin out here Gurkan? Huh whats got Red all worked up?" the last bit he says quieter as he approaches where Gurkan and Red are. Elwood hand on the hilt of his Falchion.

Gurkan readies his weapons and nods towards the door where Red is at attention, a whisper indicates to her to hold then quietly moves into position to try and gain a surprise advantage
Despite the tension in the air, Gurkan's thoughts briefly turned to his companions. He spared a quick, reassuring glance back at them. Each of them was ready, their faces determined, their weapons at the ready. Their shared purpose and unspoken trust in each other fortified their resolve.

With a final check to ensure everyone was in position, Gurkan steeled himself for what lay beyond the door and moved in expecting a fight

Tumbler draws a second knife and gets ready. He does not move to the front to take the lead but instead tries to hide himself by blending in with a shadow or any type of cover.

I dont think I make the hide roll

Having come up empty in Abadar's vault, the companions prepare for whatever is behind the last door in this chamber...then they open the door...

The door opens with a creak, revealing a massive chamber that looks like an audience hall. On the far side, a broad set of stairs leads up to where a throne might once have been. Pillars support the high ceiling, and the ruined tatters of once decorative banners still hang from them. A decorative tile pattern centered in the middle of the room shows through the grime coating the floor.

From Khawla's position in the doorway/order, she can't really see anything on the ceiling. Plus, it's very dark in there > does she have a source of light?

She cast a light spell on her scimitar and is using that for her light source.

After the light spell is cast, Tuga will move up one square on the right, and look to the left from the new position.

And the light spell was cast right in front of my eyes.....
