OOC - The Place to Let It All Out!

#1 Post by hedgeknight »

Hey guys!
Check in and introduce yourselves!
I will be adding to this forum pretty much daily throughout the next couple of weeks. Aiming for an early May start...not sure of the actual date yet. I will be adding a lot of content about Golarion, particularly the Isle of Kortos, the game setting. No rush to roll up your characters yet; just make some notes of what you might like to play, look through the links and Pathfinder 2e information (to be posted soon), and get some idea of the game world.
Back soon...
Winter is coming...

I am going with a human cleric if it helps anyone else with their decision.

I'm so excited!
And I just can't hide it!
I'm about to lose control...

"cough" Okay, I'm over it.
Seriously though, the more I read through the Beginner Box the more I'm loving this new direction.

So far we have:
- Human Cleric (Rex)
- Dwarf Rogue (C+1)
- Goblin Ranger (Belkregos)
- Gnome something or other :) (ateno)
- Dwarf something or other (GreyWolfVT)

Yep, definitely getting excited! :SAN:

I am very excited too.
I do notice that our party is pretty short. The human cleric will have to play center if there are any basketball challenges.

Going to try and walk through this. As far as I can tell we don't roll anything.

Concept, Human Cleric defender of the righteous
Ancestry Human, +1 Str and Con, 25 move, 8hp
Human Heritage, skilled human, add 3 skills as trained later
Background Warrior, +1 Str, Intimidation skill and Warfare Lore skill, Intimidating Glare
Class Cleric, +3 Wis, +1 to Int, Con, and Chr, +10hp (8+2 from Con), trained in Diplomacy, Medicine, and Religion skills, trained in Perception, Expert in fortitude and Will saves, Trained in Reflex saves, 5 cantrips, 2 1st level + Burning Hands, Cleric equipment

Follower of Sarenrae, gains Nature skill, Scimitar weapon, and Burning Hands Spell

Skills, add 4 skills (Int + 3 for skilled heritage), Arcana, Athletics, Stealth, and Survival

Let me know what I am missing please.

We had a group of all short characters in a game I ran at the table once. It had some memorable moments.

Thanks. I saw that and then didn't write it down. Looks like I also didn't write down warrior background and Intimidating Glare.

Looking for a picture I came across this and found it very cool. Going to use her as my inspiration for my character.

This will be the picture for her.

Sorry busy crazy last day at old job, then crazy grocery shopping after work day. So I have nothing done yet.

But I an a newbie to PF 2e other than I too have the beginner box and loved the half of the adventure we ran here at home a couple weeks ago.

I'll be making probably a Dwarf "Unknown" at this time. But playing the video Kingmaker Game I was really enjoying my Dwarf inquisitor which was probably unique to that game or i dk what edition that was actually based on.

So at any rate I'n dwarf something or other.

No hurry Ed...don't let Bel and C+1 push you around!
Tell reached out to me yesterday and is excited about playing; he has a lot going on too, but will likely have a character ready by the weekend.
So, let's aim for a staring date.
How about May 7th? That's next Sunday, which will give me time to load up a bit more info about the Isle of Kortos, Absalom, the Inner Sea region, etc. Now, if everyone has their character ready to go by May 2nd, then we'll start. Otherwise, I'm aiming for the 7th.

Between now and then, read up on what you can about the Inner Sea region, the Isle of Kortos, and come up with a very brief background for your character. The adventure will begin in the lumber town of Otari. Is your character from Otari? From Absalom? From Diobel? Or from some other area? For whatever reason, you are now in Otari.

More to come...
Winter is coming...

No worries there Gary I have played with C+1 on here before so I won't let em push me around ;)

I decided to make a Dwarf Swashbuckler.

Actually looking her over now I am going to switch her Human +1 to Con to a +1 to Chr. Working on some research to decide where she is from.

Description and background are done. Wondering if I can take her special spell (Burning Hands) more than once?
