Yeah, age and race. You're more on top of things than I am. And I'm just going to assume you're playing a Cleric based on those stats.

I haven't actually assigned the stats around yet, those were automatically assigned by the die roller.
What classes other than standard 1E are available?

Any new 2E Classes such as Bard, Psionicist, etc, any Unearthed Arcana, and if you really want to be unique, any Dragon Magazine class which fits with 1e. (I must be provided a link to this) And Rotten, you're allowed to assign them however you want, so you don't have to play a thief unless you want to. (I'm secretly hoping someone plays something that isn't the core Magic User/Fighter/Cleric/Thief, just for originality, but don't let me influence your actions.)

I've never really used Cantrips, and there's two methods for starting spells. Method 1 is where you get to choose two spells from the list, but you have to roll for them. Method 2 is that one table in the DMG, where I roll a d10 for each type of spell (offensive/defensive/utility) and you get them automatically.

So basically, with Method one, you get to choose your spells, but you get one less of them, and you have to roll for them. With Method two, you may end up with crappy spells, but you get more of them, and you're guaranteed to know them. Also, Magic Users get Read Magic/Detect magic to begin with, so you're starting with 4-5 spells.

Creation so far. He was trained as a monastic warrior in a medium sized sea port. He'll be a priest for a god equivalent to Apollo. I'll hold off until I get spells, class abilities (turn undead), and weapons permitted.

Rotten-Looks Good, and those are both legal weapons for the Thief, so you're good in that regard.

Modric-Concerning spells, you may choose to use any 1st level spell (but none of the reversed effects), but you know your deity would prefer you take spells pertaining to light, healing, lore, and prophecy. You've even heard rumors of priests who have been rewarded by their deity for staying true to their wishes. I'm sure (let's call your deity Bu, short for some complicated name) wouldn't mind for you to memorize a Resist Cold when you need it, but he would prefer you stay with spells such as Cure Light Wounds and Light and Bless.
