ARNOLST

Arnolst is located at the confluence of two large rivers. The main river flows north to south past the city. The tributary flows in from the northeast. Arnolst sits in that junction so it is protected by water on all sides except to the north. Before the Breaking, it was a massive hub of commerce and trade. It is now largely ruins, but being in such a secure location, with farm land nearby and the rivers for food and water, it is one of the larger settlements to be found. Travel is unusual but not rare. Visitors come through occasionally, mainly by river. Trade is largely nonexistent, the main business of the city is defending and feeding itself.
