Mutters, "Damn!" under her breath and takes off at a gallop following Thena, Wilwarin and Bryne.

Liviel nearly pushes Davion off Reggie's horse, making him dismount, and says, "Get Thena's pack and follow on foot. You'll only slow me down." She spurs the horse into a wild gallop following the other women. Athan who had been riding in the rear tells Davion, "Grab the pack and find cover. We'll come back for you when its safe," he hopes to anyway. And then he spurs Folly forward following them. Zaella looks first at Davion and then towards Lupre. Without a word, she start follow in Athan's wake.

Thena rides at a furious pace, her mind racing, thinking of only her father, mother and three sisters, safety. As she gets closer to the city walls, her heart pounding as she sees great flames rising from within the city and screams and cries echoing beyond the wall.

Finn Jaeger's home which stands besides the town gates is engulfed in flames and the gates stand wide and open. Three men stand outside the gates and a woman and another man sit atop black barded war horses. A banner for the knights of the vale is plunged into the ground before them. The three standing men are armored in chain and all three hold crossbows, as soon as they catch sight of Thena, the mounted woman who oddly is elven gives the order to fire. The man mounted beside her cackles with deep laughter as he speaks strange words and a ball of fire appears in his hand, though his face bears no indication that the fire harms him. He glances toward Thena but throws the ball of fire through Lupre's gates. The mounted woman draws a long serrated blade but holds her position.
