well that shouldn't be too bad with all the coin these old modules dole out.

So we should take our characters up to 4th Level?

yeah since they say in the conclusion that everyone should be 4th level it's that or everyone throw out what you need to hit 4th or equiv. and I'll average it out and give that as a set XP amount. That would be what is needed after adding the zombies and war dog XP.

no worries I figure some of these characters will be phased out or retiring or what not

Egon is 3/3. Would he go to 4/4 or just add some xp?

I don't rightly know. They only say that eveyone should be level 4 this was written in basic D&D times. So as a dual/multi class i assume that means equal to a solo level 4 classed character. So at least one of your 2 classes would be level 4.

It's a difficult one. You could work out what's needed to make sure all the single-classed characters are 4th Level and give the multi-classeds that, but that doesn't guarantee they'll hit 4th Level, particularly as it will be divided between classes.

The simplest answer is to make all the single-classed characters 4th Level and for multi-classeds you put the class with the lowest xp needed to 4th Level and all their other classes to the same xp.

I am fine with however. Egon has 4401/4401 (fighter/thief) and needs 8000/5000. He is also one of the longest running characters in the game I think.

He has more than Weston, Therick, Grimnar, Del, Misha, and Krovould.
Less than Trist.

Wizards require 10000 for 4th which is the most of any class in 2e. Trist has the most at 10652 total. That is before any rewards currently I think.

5000/5000 would put him as 3rd/4th.

Yeah...Trist is level 3/3 Fighter/Mage...I'm ok with however the levels work out. Get the others to 4th level and Multiclass can split the XP as suggested by others. I don't necessarily have to level if its fairer for Trist to stay 3/3.

Trist should get some xp obviously. Maybe figure out how much to get the single classed individuals to 4th. Take the most and award it to everyone?

yeah I could do that since so far that amount is 2589 i could just round it up to 2600.

I am fine with that. It would make Egon 5831/5831, which would be 3rd fighter / 4th thief. I think Trist would still be 3rd/3rd, but thief is the easiest class to level up.

Yeah, I'm just trying to make it even but it's hard to do that with the 2e XP differences that is one thing I do like about Pathfinder. Doesn't matter what class you are we all lvl with the same XP amounts unless I am mistaken.

This brings up more questions though. So what now? What next? Which characters are sticking around and which ones are leaving/retiring?

I'm still thinking of sticking with some of the other B level modules from Mystara. I'll have to look through them a bit more to see what is a good fit for a team of level 4's.

I am staying around. The thing with the B modules is they are all 1-3 or 4 I think. Maybe one of the X series would be a good choice?
