The three suspects under investigation:

Harper, High Priest of the Church of Osperm in Garrotten; Elderly human with long white hair and beard dressed in flowing light blue robes.
A single red ruby was found at the scene, possibly from his holy symbol.

Abraham, Owner of The House of Abraham, a popular Inn and Tavern in Garrotten; Rotund human barkeep, friend to Pelltar
A single red leather button was found clenched in the dead Barons fist, possibly from the prominent vest of the tavern owner.

Balmorrow, Theater owner in Garrotten and possible Bard; Good looking middle aged human with acting and preforming skills.
A golden lute string was found under the Barons bed, possibly from the mans lute, which as reported to have golden strings.

Outside of Restenford, Lestadt will be using the alias Michault, an aspiring art patron and amateur music aficianado.

Restenford - South Gate Guard wrote:"Priests and Bards, eh? Yer askin bout the murder, aint ya? Ya, it's all everyone's been talking about today. Rumor has it the white priest yer speakin of was in town last night, but never left. I can tell ya this, Sarge had us all makin a pretty detailed search this mornin, and the old man didnt turn up anywhere."

"I didnt actually see him meself, but there aint many folks who look like that one, so it's a mystery that he somehow left the city without being spotted."

"Cant say I know much about the other fella ya mentioned. Fancy singin and actin aint really my thing, mister........what'd ya say yer name was? The Baroness wants us ta log any comings and goings fer a while. I think there's worry the killer could strike again, ya see."

Appears we may have two impostors ...
Wilbur wrote: Yes, Balmorrow does own the theater, but I think you might be mistaken about seeing him in Restonford recently. Perhaps he has an impersonator?
Priska wrote: Abraham was here last night all right, but he always stays alone in his room on Sunday nights. Soooooooo….nobody else will have seen him. But Priska seen him! When he walked to the outhouse to take his bedtime POOP!”
I suggest we send a message to Pelltar about Abraham. Did the Restenford wine merchant notice anything unusual or different about the innkeeper? Abraham orders from him every month, after all. Perhaps Vorpal could carry it?

Timing is rather coincidental.

Draxon thinks that Captain Basmar is hiding something (perhaps could be the assassin) since he could not show any understanding of sailing terms

Wilbur admitted the string never broke, but it was used as a gift for his girl friend. Still no idea how it made it to the assassin from there.
