It is 9:37 am ship time. Time at the Star port is also 9:37 as the clock aboard ship was slowly changed to match the main port of record in the system you're jumping to. If you get to areas that aren't in your database, the ship/port times will no longer match.

Sigrun grins and says "Can you feel the freedom? However, some get carried away with it and might take the wrong kind of interest in an Imperial trader. Let's keep alert". She swings into her turret, lights up the weapons and starts checking for threats.

Zaki checks their estimated arrival time at the port, allowing for the customs inspection, so they can have a meal before they disembark. She also ensures that she has the standard Imperial medical documents ready for everyone aboard.

Margie's Folly turns on active sensors and runs a scan over Connie Mac.

The radio clicks and an incoming message from Margie's Folly follows, "Ahoy, Constance Malone, we're outbound for Rangent with a load of cargo. FYI, there was a pirate raid in this system last week. The Arden ship drove him off, but took some damage doing it. It's doing repairs in orbit around Tionale. Expect Das Sonntagskind to hail you as you get closer."

Connie Mac has about a two and a half hour trip in to orbit. They will arrive about 30 minutes after Finnian's Way reaches orbit.

Sigrun instinctively touches a rune etched amulet about her neck and states "Is seems Das Sonntagskind was indeed well named - the "ghost seer" banished evil back into the darkness!" Looking at her (possibly bewildered) comrades she rolls her eyes and declares "In civilised places it is known that children born on specific days have certain powers".

Nothing to add other than work's been crazy the last few weeks; we've both been to doctors multiple times for minor issues ; had some canine health issues, as well..all on top of feeling like crap for a month from something that's definitely not COVID bleah. All long way to say I"ve been AWOL here, and intend to try to catch up...if all of the above let me!

All long way to say I"ve been AWOL here, and intend to try to catch up...if all of the above let me!

I know the feeling! I've, in fact, got a Doctor's appointment this afternoon...general check up, but he's bound to give me heck about my elevated Triglycerides and glucose.

The inspection of the cargo hold goes quickly and the four visitors are soon off the ship giving you a "clean bill of health" on your way in-system.

True to his prediction, Das Sonntagskind, soon after contacts you and a brief chat about your origin and destination ensues. It seems the ship's Captain is being protective of this planet...although, to the best of your knowledge there's no reason Arden would care. Tionale is quite a way from the Arden Cluster and even Sigrun has no clue as to why an Arden military ship is here doing anti-pirate duty. Everybody thinks the Ardenians are strange...or maybe mysterious is a better word to use as no one really understand what motivates their government's policies.

The conversation goes as well as you could expect and soon Connie Mac is to the planet itself and after an orbit lands at a small Starport near the only city on the planet...also called Tionale, or as the locals call it "The City."

The Starport is a chainlink fenced area of tarmac at the edge of a pair of runways. There is a gate in the fence leading to a road into town that goes past a couple of big hangers...presumably where some repairs are done to local flying vehicles and a small tower. It doesn't look like there is any sort of fueling or repair for starships here. There is a small Terminal building that it looks like both air and space passengers go through before emerging into the city.

From the air, as you landed, you saw the The City was quite small, maybe a dozen blocks of commercial and warehouses and the same of what look like residential around the central core. The only tall building has the Delgado Trading logo on its side and roof.

Sharing the enclosed tarmac with you are two ships, both bear Delgado Trading logos on them. One is a 2,000 merchant ship and the second is a 100 ton courier style ship. There is activity around the merchant ship, it is unloading cargo onto trucks, but the courier styled ship is dark and appears to be un-occupied.

Sharing the enclosed tarmac with you are two ships, both bear Delgado Trading logos on them. One is a 2,000 merchant ship and the second is a 100 ton courier style ship. There is activity around the merchant ship, it is unloading cargo onto trucks, but the courier styled ship is dark and appears to be un-occupied.

Zaki steps into the common area with her duffel bag slung over her shoulder, and her pistol on her hip. "So, what's the plan?"

Pedro says "The plan is to get the lay of the land, an figure out who to ask about the Lady. The FIRST plan, though is to establish a watch and guard rota...I don't intend to leave the Connie unmanned while we're here."

A low orbit under Das Sonntagskind's guns would keep her safe from hijackers and pirates both. We can even advertise the air/rafts in flight! As to finding Freida Marie I suggest we talk to the Delgado people and find out where they are working. That's where all the money is going to be spent on planet. That "economic gravity" will draw people from all over: protesters, enlightened eco-warriors and the more common type of Imperial hating regular terrorist".

She suddenly grins at Pedro "Want to get paid twice for the same job Kapiten? If the threat that the Delgado people are feeling is enough then maybe we can hire ourselves out as armed guards on our own air transport business? It might be a good enough cover".

Sigrun, apparently only wearing a modest two handguns, declares herself ready to begin making friends and influencing people in Startown.

"Probably," Emily said as she came in, armed with her pistol in a belt holster. "If we need to make a go, we wouldn't want to run out of juice."

"I think we need to get a section of a warehouse for our air/rafts." says John Lee, "Leave them down here if we're looking to sell them here."

"And are we gonna try to scare up a cargo to take back to Phlume for when we leave?" John Lee asks as he sips from a cup of caff.

Sigrun suggests "Wait, we can get both fuel and cargo! There's no gas giant in system and we don't need to go chasing ice in the asteroid belt when we can re-fuel on the surface. This world is "wet" so we can just take a short atmospheric hop to load ice from the poles or dip water and start refining". She adds "And all under the guns of the Arden ship in orbit - so no risk from pirates".

(OOC: As per the link Connie has fuel scoops and processors 52tons fuel at 20t/day so a three day cycle to be ready to jump).

"We do need the supplies, so it can't be helped," Zaki replies with a shrug. "Maybe you can help negotiate a better deal." She smiles at him.
