"I understand and am sorry for your loss. If this turns out the way I hope it could protect the planet for years and save many more lives than it cost."

Eclipse nods

"We need to keep that sword safe until after the ceremony. I've no doubt DEMON will try again, and they'll be more prepared next time."

[gurusql]

Dr. Canul

"DEMON would not dare attempt to attack me here. The Dragon Macuahuitl will be safe here, if your intention is to allow me to use it."

[Rex]

Azir

"I would prepare for the worst case scenario if I were you."

[gurusql]

Dr. Canul

"Sound advice."

[shaidar]

Eclipse

"To not use the Macuahuitl would be to waste a man's sacrifice. However, there is one condition. No disrespect to you or your people, but we are staying to help guard it."

[gurusql]

Dr. Canul

"Just like an American to try to change the terms of the deal." He shakes his head as he walks in a small circle. "As far as I am concerned you are a distraction and a liability - I think that you will attract the very evil you hope to protect us from. I do not like your request at all."

[VonAlric]

Dos Seso

"We are already here. If this evil was following us, it will come for you as well. Our leaving will not protect you from it, assuming that shows naivety. We might as well help you from being interrupted, shouldn't we?"

Dr. Canul

Dr. Canul waves hand and says "Fine! . . . But you will not enter the grounds for any reason - even an attack and I will not be supporting you with food or shelter, this is not my idea."

He pauses a moment and finishes "and you must be gone within four days."

Eclipse

"This distraction managed what you couldn't. Perhaps the locals can provide us with the hospitality that is...lacking elsewhere."

[Rex]

Azir

"Lacking is an understatement, I suppose the rich who have never had to earn their keep are used to others doing their work for them and just not having to interact with them any more."

[gurusql]

Dr. Canul

"My defenses are at maximum and they would attack and kill you for coming on the grounds. It is your American bias that poor Hondurans cannot possibility be up to your American standards that is causing your discomfort not my wealth. Are you turning over the Dragon Macuahuitl or letting your co-pilot die in vain."

[shaidar]

Eclipse

"And it is your pride that is refusing help, honestly offered. I hope it doesn't get you or your people killed." he offers up the sword "Take it, so we can be gone from here. Doctor, please do not ask for our help again."

[gurusql]

After Eclipse gives Dr. Canul with weapon, he lowers his head for a moment and then heads back on to the grounds without another word.

Actions?

Eclipse looks at the others

"I think we should return home. This trip was an error of judgement and I take full responsibility."

[Rex]

Azir

"An error yes, but it is not your fault Eclipse. We all share in that decision and it was with the best of intents."

[shaidar]

Eclipse smiles at Azir

"Thank you, but ultimately the responsibility is mine. I didn't take the whole magic thing as seriously as I should have... demons, who'd have thought it"

[Rex]

Azir

"We wont make that mistake again."

"I will agree to that. For an old Earth Science professor that was pretty crazy!"
