The love the elf feels for the paladin was magically induce into her, but it feels as real as if it had developed by getting to know the towering knight. The elf stops short just as her survival instincts were taking over, and reconsiders. She gets a quick look at what's inside the sack.

And she will quickly get back to her love in order to win or die together.

Having a sudden change of heart, Elnaerel has a quick look through their gear, finding everything except armor and their larger weapons.

She returns to the side of her beloved Paladin, who is taking on the 6 dwarves armed with only a single dagger. He appears to have been hit at least once already.

She could use either, but a sling is pretty much useless in the tight jungle.

Combat in these tight confines is nearly futile, but gets a little easier once enough vines and branches are randomly hewn. Narramore stabs one of the dwarves and is hit back himself in return.

He gladly accepts his sword back, and the help, even if he doesn’t say so. Elnaerel swings wildly, setting her back to the huge lovable human at her side.

In the first few minutes of their entangled battle, Narramore and Elnaerel are both hit once. They dish out about the same amount of damage on the dwarves as they receive, knocking one of the 6 Stoneguts out of the fight with 2 well placed attacks. The remaining 5 jerk and dodge, trying to come at the duo from multiple angles at once.

With three dwarves on Narramore, the paladin is able to land two effective blows, taking out another of their ranks that drops with a thud to the jungle floor. He is hit once in return, though, tis' but a scratch. 1 dam

The pair of dwarves attacking Elnaerel have similar luck, hitting her once but for limited damage. 3 dam Her pair of successful attacks takes down one of her unarmored adversaries, leaving her facing only a single armored opponent now.

Narramore takes out another dwarf with one thrust of his sword before he is wounded again. He touches himself for a quick bout of healing energy before raising his sword again. Then he finishes off the dwarf Elnaerel wounded just before he himself falls from multiple injuries. 9 dam

The three remaining dwarves hold their actions for a moment, taking a quick breather and allowing the elf to do the same as she looks upon her fallen love bleeding out into the oerth. "Yer outnumbered three ta one lass. Best if ye just surrender to us at this point, if ye want ta live."

Oddly, the sounds of shouting and screaming can now be heard from the direction of the mine, causing the dwarves to look at each other funny.

The elf quickly cats Cure Light Wounds on herself, not wanting to turn her back on the dwarves in order to heal the knight.

One of the dwarves puts his sword to Elnaerels throat once she starts casting, but when he sees that the spell does them no harm, he lets her finish.

The other two dwarves seem very concerned as the screams and shouts continue to escalate in the direction of their camp.

"Bind her hands and bring her along! Leave the big one lay. We need to get back to see what the hells is going on now!"

Unwilling to let her true love die in the jungle, Elnaerel decides that instead of healing him outright, she will double her efforts to fight the dwarves instead. She calls on the power of her god to command the closest dwarf to "Die!" This causes that dwarf to fall to the ground, creating a good deal of concern from the other pair that aren't initially sure if their kin is only fooling around, or really dead. When the horns and the shouting continue from the direction of their camp, one more of them bolts away through the jungle, leaving only 1 upright dwarf remaining to figure things out. He raises his ax and smiles. "If ye wont come along peacefully, then lets get this over with, shall we?"
