Mason advances, coming close to the glyphs on the floor and inspecting the doors. He is looking for any relief or protrusions on the wall or doors that he might be able to hang on.

"I could easily jump those and gain the doors....but...." he leaves off, lost a bit in pondering the situation.

The only thing big enough to hang on would be the lintel over each door. That's assuming you make the leap and can get a secure handhold. Even considering your training the chance of success is no more than 50/50.

"First, let us see if we can trip it from back there, waving to the hole in the wall. Failing that, I will volunteer to make an attempt." He walks back to the pile and select two good sized rocks before continuing.

"Everybody out, here goes."

Waiting for the others to exit, he tossed the stone some 40 feet into the area in front of the left door. Then the other at the right door.

OOC: Moving it froward, unless someone objects.

The rocks make lots of noise, but nothing else happens.

Xale looks at his companions and asks; "Well my friends; should we enter the tunnel and see what we can find?"

Halbrad, at the tunnel's entrance, half hears Xale's comment and lets out:

"Haven't found an entrance yet? What in blazes have the rogues been doing all this time?"

Going inside he starts talking to the people milling about.

"I say boys, gird yer loins, put a leg on it and up and at it! The Overking ain't getting any healthier by the minute, ya know...It is only two bleedin' doors. One hits ya with the trap the other don't, right? Why's all you standing this far back?"

As he talks he is walking towards the pairs of doors to take a closer look.

Let's either do something or cause some casualties here. :)

"Wait up!" Fosco heads toward the doors along side Halbrad. He will climbs up between the two doors and when standing above the one without the visible hinges he will drop a torch infront of the door.

As soon as Fosco steps forward to climb to the top of the doors, the floor glows with magic glyphs. This is followed by a rumble and grinding sound. 30 feet from the doors a huge wall of stone begins sliding across the hall.

What do you do?

Mason begins to throw rocks and rubble against the west wall, thinking that it might stop the wall from sliding all the way closed.

Xale; seeing the sliding stone begin to move to wall in the passage yells to his companions; "RUN BACK HERE! THE PASSAGE IS ABOUT TO BE BLOCKED OFF!"

Immediately after doing so he looks to see if he can spot any kind of large stone or lever to attempt to jam or slow down the progress of the stone block....

Mason begins piling rocks against the west wall as Xale looks for some way to slow the progress of the stone block. The dwarf finds only rocks and sand laying around. The seams around the edges of the moving block a very tight. The blade of a weapon or tip of a spike might be wedged in there, but the block is moving very quickly so any action taken must be swift.

"Crap" says Mason as he shrugs off his pack, digging for two iron wedges, and moves to quickly get them positioned.

"I damn near forgot them."

Halbrad looks dumbfounded at the huge moving block of stone.

"Holy crimeny! Bloody corridor a-closin' on us!"

As actions explodes around him he considers for a moment running to the closing exit; then remember he is wearing full plate armor, recalls something else, and decides on a different course of action.

"Don't ye worry fer me fellas. I got a way of getting outs of here on me own later..."

Readying his enchanted polearm he takes position in front of the hinged door on the left.

"...but not before, checking wot's behind...HERE!"

Heaving his frame he attempts to kick the door in.

Open doors roll (1-4): [1d6] = 3

Bend bars/Lift gates roll (25%): [1d100] = 48
