Friar John the Wanderer stopped short of the town. Said a prayer to St. Ygg, carefully guarding his thoughts against wondering if she that had gotten him expelled from the abbey might be here. As he finished the prayer he raised his holy symbol from around his neck to the overcast sky and said, "May the light shine on my endeavors."

His shaved bald head was clearly tanned, his distinctive trimmed beard lacked a mustache and his piercing blue eyes flashed with the fervor of his faith otherwise he was nondescript in his average appearance other than the brown friar's robe worn over a mail coat.

He adjusted his pack and pouch and prepared to enter the town, adventure awaits AND perhaps SHE might be here.... his heart thudded in his chest as he idly thought of her before he banished the thought.

Dalin Silverhand only slightly tall for a dwarf, reddish brown hair and beard fairly neatly cut and groomed. Sporting a dark green cloak, dark blue trousers, tall soft boots and a crossbow strapped to his back, a throwing axe on one side of his belt and a broad sword on the other side along with some belt pouches and a pack that looks fairly well stuffed. By the looks of his face he has seen some long years though no gray hair or wrinkles upon him. The dwarf is fairly silent compared to the typical boisterous ones everyone is always used to dealing with. Another strange thing folks will notice is that the dwarf has a 10' pole with him.

Sigrid Myrkva is a slight human woman dressed in dark clothing fringed with feathers. Her arms are bare and display her tribal tattoos. In one hand she grips a large gnarled staff on whose head a black rune has been painted. She returns your gaze and large grey eyes seem to apprise your intent.

Orgoth

Orgoth walks into Helix looking for some like minded individuals willing to explore around. He is average height for a man, a bit tall for a half orc. He is heavily built and obviously powerful. His chain mail looks well worn and his sword and shield have seen better days. He carries a bundle of javelins as well. his pack looks like most adventurers that come this way.

Cadeweed "Cade" Dale stands a few inches under 3 feet tall with very deeply tanned skin, a full head of chestnut brown hair with sideburns. He wears dark green adventuring clothing over his leather armor. He carries a short sword or sling along with his pack. Cade seems eager to jump-into the middle of any situation.

Mai Ronin
Mai enters, her dark eyes taking in everything. She is an Elf, of medium build. Her skin is paler than most, and her eyes are almond-shaped. She has a single thick braid that hangs past her hips, glossy black. Her armor is leather, carefully tooled and painted in an unfamiliar style. Her movements, and the sword she carries, mark her as a warrior.

Cosmo Snag

A sly gnome with a slight mystical air around him, Cosmo's wizened appearance and short stature are somewhat countered by his 'youthful' confidence and charismatic presence - attributes he sometimes manages to exploit quite well, when needing to gain advantage in a tight spot.

Sir Dewey (Of the Militant Order of Librarians)

A large imposing man, Sir Dewey of the Militant Order of Librarians follows St Ygg. His face is always covered by his helm, but grey eyes peer out and strongly convey his emotions. His armor is covered by a tabard of a red cross, his shield the same. Sir Dewey's voice is both gravelly and soothing, depending on his mood. His manners and presence remind you of the elders of the past.

Sven Jolly

A young disheveled orange haired human still in his teen years, his scarred face and lonely eyes tell a tale of woe and hardship.

Dressed in common robes and carrying almost nothing on him, he appears more like a beggar than an adventurer. He carries around a large, messy tome that he pokes his crooked nose into often.

Rondahl is a large, well-cut young man. A few years in the Arena has left him with an impressive musculature and quick reactions. His hair is dark, and only a little longer than he was allowed to wear as a Gladiator. He has solid, straight features and although scarred over most of his body from the games, he has been lucky to come out with his face unmarred.

Moriartus

A man of average height and slim build, with slightly graying dark auburn hair and piercing hazel eyes under a drooping brow lined with age. Just past his prime years, a prominent aquiline nose juts above a mouth and jaw similarly accented by time. The lips turned down on either side as if they had adjusted that way in response to a demeanor marked by stoicism and practicality.

Worn over a suit composed of slate colored trousers, white linen shirt and complemented with a copper buttoned vest, is a brown leather coat sporting wide lapels and artful decorative engravings. He holds a staff formed from dark wood, similar to mahogany. One section near the top clearly shaven and shaped to permit a more comfortable grip for use as a walking aid. The man's measured step which leans heavily into the staff suggests its use is not merely an affectation of style, but necessity.

Dougal

Unkempt read hair and beard, weather-beaten skin, medium height and girth, sinewy arms. Dougal wears practical clothes of dark green and brown or reddish brown colours. His stripped pants have vertical lines in these colours. His torso is protected by a studded leather armour and over his shoulders he wears a hooded dark green cloak.

Taller than most men, Barba is a female half-orc with an an impressive physique; a melding of both the masculine and feminine sheathed in greyish green skin. A mane of black hair the color of raven wings with almost half her scalp shaved with patterns cropped close. A pair of sharp dark blue eyes miss nothing around her while a pair of tusks, shorter than her orcish cousins, poke out from her slightly jutting full lower lip, only adding to a savage beauty and bestial grace. A long fur mantled cloak rests on her shoulders, the cowl pulled forward and low enough to shadow her face. Underneath one can catch a glimpse the rings of her armor through the open front of her cloak.

Isvand walks into the tavern, a tall, gangly halfling in studded heather armor, with a a shield and weapons strapped to his person, looking more than anything like a teenager dressing up as an adventurer.

At 4 1/2 feet tall, Isvand is tall, even for a Tallfellow, and is viewed as a gangly giant. Among humans, he looks very much like a teenager who has just hit puberty. Isvand always has a smile on his face and a pipe in his mouth, when not on the move. He always has his daggers near at hand, 1 in each boot, and the rest spread around his person. Not hidden, just handy. The mischievous glint in his eye is enough to let you know that he'll give that, whatever it is, a try,

A tall male human, Steban Rolfson looks like and speaks like a soldier of fortune whose fortunes sent him to travel. His weapons and armor are well used and well cared for. Like many soldiers he wore armor when he first arrived, but had changed into his tunic and breeches when he came back down for the evening meal.

Gerdal Fiveclover

Gerdal wears simple and practical clothing but appearantly have manners, addressing others as mam, sir or lady. Her waist belt is adorned with a number of pouches and several meat cleavers, bone saws and long bladed carving knives. Her pack mule has saddle bags burgeoning with camp equipment, cushioned not to rattle with straw or blanket fillings. A pannier of chests rather than a saddle rests across the beast of burdens back.

She can often be spotted at the Foul Pheasant Tavern where she likes to converse with Pernicious or in the The Brazen Strumpet where from time to time she likes to help out in the kitchen. Most people seem to like, or at least, tolerate her since the food she prepares is undoubtedly well made.

Across her shoulders a large bug eyed, sleepy reptile rests. The chameleon, Harkazz, grips onto her cloak, blending into the tan colour like a scaly thick collar, it's long tail curled up in a whirl.

Fappy "The Fappster" Bublu

Standing a little under 3 feet is a red head halfling known to some as just "The Fappster" or Fappy Bublu.

Twinkle in his eye, he appears ready for almost anything headed his way. Man of few words he lets his actions speak for themselves.

A blue cloak is worn over his leather armor. A Dagger hilt protrudes from the from the his belt at his waist. A Short Sword hilt rests in a

scabbard at his left hip.
