Knatchbull is a 17 year old half-orc of average male human height & weight but with corded muscles that seem to strain against his frame. He has taken on his current profession as his name (striking the killing blow to animals for the butcher) and has probably been seen either helping the butcher in Helix or spotted around the abattoir at Ironguard Motte. His strength and comfort with weapons has made guarding, escorting, and adventuring an attractive change of career and he has begun trying to get his name out for any upcoming martial duties.

Eldon Shadowfinger

You look toward the door as it opens. A small halfling strides in to the tavern with a large black mastiff by his side. The top of his head is just a few inches taller than the dog's shoulders. His reddish brown hair hangs at shoulder length, and a pointed beard outlines his face. A long brown coat covers hangs to his ankles and a red shirt covers his studded armor.

As he makes his way to an empty table, his coat swings easily with his stride and you notice a short sword hanging from his hip and the hilt of a dagger on the other hip. You also notice the hilt of another dagger tucked in to his left boot. He notices your eyes on him as he drops his pack and takes a seat. His greens eyes meet yours and he nods and smiles.

Savant is a serious looking male elf with an average elven build and long straight white hair. He wears subdued browns and grays under his scale mail. His shortbow is close at hand, with a large quiver protruding out from under his dark gray cloak. He does not mince words, stating evenly that he "Seeks greater fortune than a quiet life in the forest can provide."

This long brown haired & bearded (of course) dwarf has light green eyes lightly tanned skin. He has a nimble step despite his stout dwarven appearance.
This cloaked figure will eye up the patrons of the tavern to see who might be interesting to share a drink with..

A young male half-elf enters the tavern with humility and quiet respect. Standing taller than the average elf, yet still smaller in stature than most humans, he wears newly crafted splint mail armor covering his torso and legs, with soft boots protecting his feet. His slightly pale skin and pointed ears highlight a dignified head of neatly groomed hair. He wears a cheerful face reflecting overall satisfaction with life, wonder at the world, and eagerness to explore it.

He finds an open seat and places quarterstaff upright against the wall beside the table. The staff is skillfully decorated with large leaf patterns down its length, ornamentation symbols of Silvanus. To the perceptive, the fact that he does not wear an actual laurel upon his head telegraphs that he is merely a faithful follower, but not an actual servant of the Old God of nature, freedom and balance.

He introduces himself aloud as, "Leibish, son on Gondol," and continues to make polite conversation with the locals. Anyone engaging him beyond more than a few pleasantries begins to realize his interest is keenly focused on collecting enchanted oddities and tracing their origins. He is momentarily annoyed by a fruit fly that pesters him, flitting into his eyes, ears, and nose, calling the insect "disgusting thing" and swatting it away from his face.

Here we have Marcel Gerard Desrosiers, a friar of some girth and merriment. He wanders the world as Gerard, hoping to atone for past sins and avoid falling into any new ones. His love of battle is matched by a keen appreciation for spirits and good food. The good friar is also a student of the culinary arts, so he's as much at home in the kitchen as on the field, as his growing belly will testify.

Gerard is approachable, easy-going, and always has a sparkle of merriment in his eyes. Creaky joints and thinning hair give him away as an "old man" of 54 winters.

Gunter Red Shirt

Gunter is a tall and skinny lad with green eyes, gaunt features and pale skin. He’s grown a patchy beard and mustache in a vain attempt to look older than his 18 years.

When he left the farm at 15 to join a free company his father told him, “Gunter, ya best start wearin’ red so when they send yer body home, poor ma won’t have to see yer bloody corpse!” He bought a red shirt with his first pay and has worn one ever since. He survived his service and drawn by rumors of fame and riches he’s made his way cross country to Helix to seek his fortune.

Durgo is 6ft tall around 190 lbs and 17 years old.

He wears chain armor with a shield that was a paladin's. The Red Lion of Aerik on his left arm or back with his backpack. He has a longsword in a scabbard on his left side. Strength bow and quiver of normal arrows and silver tipped arrows. 2 silvered +2 dagger in his belt. A winter bear head hooded waterproof cloak and waterproof winter gloves.

You can't tell it, but he's got some muscles on him. He's not the sharpest or wisest in the village but he makes up for it in brawn.

Traeliorn Petroris

A male Elf arrives at the town of Helix. Appearing to be 130 years old, just passed reaching adulthood and standing at 5'10 with shoulder length dark brown hair and green eyes, the Elf is dressed in studded leather armor, he wears a backpack and carries a shortbow, a longsword at his hip, and a large shield on his back. Reserved and always appearing to be calm, Traeliorn scans the area for the nearest tavern and quietly makes his way towards it.

Yubroh the Apprentice is a human male, 5' 10" tall, slight of build at 145 lbs, of medium complexion, with dark hair and eyes. Beneath a dark coloured cloak, leathern armour is seen. He carries no obvious weapons, but two laden pouches hang at his belt. He is probably of Rhennee ancestry, though few bother to notice, which is fine with him as he usually prefers remaining unnoticed. Level 1 Thief. Strength 8, Intelligence 13, Wisdom 14, Dexterity 15, Constitution 14, Charisma 16

Raust, with Carca and Namma
Slow, feral movement marks Raust's short and slight frame. Antlers rise from a headdress, dark red hair falling below their shoulders, wide golden-colored eyes staring from a somber face, signs of a mixed heritage with the appearance of youth. A voluminous bearskin fur conceals much of the rest of their body, her clothing simple brown homespun garments adorned with tiny feathers, bones, and skulls. A pair of grey-black wolves - a larger female called Namma and a lean, muscular male called Carca - stay close, Raust's fingers twining in their fur unconsciously. Raust wears a muddy backpack beneath the bearskin, an old sailor's cutlass and quiver hung on their belt and a shortbow unstrung behind their shoulder. They hold a long spear, a broad knapped-obsidian head bound to the shaft with hard, tight sinews.

Dale Birgensen
Easily in his third decade of life but Dale's fluid, purposeful movements shout that he is a born athlete, and the oft-repaired chainmail shirt and beaten-on shield, slung on his back announce to the world that he has spent a good portion of his life training. He keeps his hair short, face cleanshaven and his kit is orderly. If asked about his past, he is open about serving in the army of a lord, but vague about why he set out to work as a caravan guad before venturing to Helix.

Jorly

Jorly is closer to the end than the beginning. He has felt it in his bones. He's outlived his family - some have passed naturally others violently - and those scars on the inside run deep.

He's grown over the years from a wild mercenary fighter to an introspective and disciplined old man. Piety has left him long ago and now he seeks to find peace and strength on his own terms before the end. But it's such a hard road to master...

Johka, half-orc fighter

Not feeling accepted in orcish lands nor in the more civilized human cities, Johka has emigrated to this remote frontier where being an outsider is not as much of a disadvantage. He tries to fit in with the dominant human culture, attempting to mimic their appearance in dress and manner. He is slightly less orcish-looking than many half-breeds with a skin tone that could almost pass for (a sickly) human. His wide-brimmed hat, the pipe he smokes, and the star of Arcantryl he wears on a leather cord around his neck are attempts to blend in and ingratiate himself with the humans who dominate the region.

He returns to Helix after an unsuccessful hunting trip and heads to the Brazen Strumpet. Lost in thought, he takes a seat at his preferred table and surveys the room...

Peaches McGee is the world's most badass Wizard, or so she would have you believe. When she's not exploring dungeons, she spends time (and gold) researching new magical effects (like adding a pink flair to her Magic Missiles) and sampling (lots of) local ales.

Brother Symeon is a skeletally thin man of around seventy years old, with wild eyes and an unkempt beard.

He is a cleric of St Ygg and goes armed with a morningstar, small shield, and an oversized set of scale mail.

Before his recent divine commission to adventure spreading the faith of St Ygg and combating the forces of chaos, he spent the last thirty years as a pillar saint, confined to narrow platform on top of a pole in perpetual meditation and prayer to St Ygg. He never speaks of his life as young man before his conversion to the faith.

His body has been left emaciated by his decades of extreme ascetic sacrifice, but an iron spiritual strength seems to animate and energize his movements.
