1922 Kurzu
Re: 1922 Kurzu
Adrian will lie in his new captains cabin after taking a anti nausea medication and a glass of water.

Re: 1922 Kurzu
The ship lifts from Kurzu's Starport and heads out toward the jump limit. The space around Kurzu is somewhat crowded with satellites and orbiting space ships awaiting their turn to land, so you thread the narrow path Port Authority has given you. There are no problems, though, and soon you are out in the open spaces heading toward the 100 diameter about a million kilometers from Kurzu itself.
The trip out to the Limit will be about 5 hours at 1 g and you don't see a reason to hurry or jump early, so you take your time. Nearing the limit Joxe and Tres prepare the jump drive and Hendrik loads the "new" Jump-3 software into the computer. Everyone crosses their fingers as Adrian dims the lights, presses the big red button and Poof! the ship disappears from normal space.
The twist in your head is there, but not nearly as severe as the last time you did a jump and only makes you blink a few times before it goes away. On the Bridge the screens show blank Jump Space. In Engineering, so do the readings on the controls. Speaking of controls, everything is in the green with only one small section of the jump bubble vibrating slightly and a bit of fine tuning fixes that immediately.
You think, it seems so, best you can tell...IT WORKED!

And that’s what we’ll think until we pop out in deep space.Eris wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 7:56 pm The ship lifts from Kurzu's Starport and heads out toward the jump limit. Re: 1922 Kurzu
Lily will call in to report that she’s fine and then go checking up on everyone else. Once bitten…
Re: 1922 Kurzu
Joxe begins a series of diagnostics on the entire jump system, recording the data for comparison against the last jump's telemetry.

Re: 1922 Kurzu
Adrian will check in personally with everyone, making sure everyone is ok and neurologically sound.
Re: 1922 Kurzu
Magdalena sleeps peacefully through the transition, her computer recording every data readout that the ship can provide about what has occurred.
Re: 1922 Kurzu
Adrian checks on everyone, but has to go to put eyes on Magda as she's sleeping right through the jump and aftermath. You can't say about their neurological soundness for sure, but everyone seems to have made it okay.

Double checks on everyone, finding Adrian doing the same and comparing notes they think the jump was fine...biologically, otherwise you'll have to wait a week to find out.terrymixon wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 8:09 pm Lily will call in to report that she’s fine and then go checking up on everyone else. The data looks great! The jump bubble had a slight hic up but that's not abnormal and cleared up with a slight tweak. The insertion looked like it is right down the middle of the statistical curve and if that means anything it means the ship should come out when and where it is supposed to. No guarantees, of course, as things can happen during jump and on precipitation out of jump, but it really does look like the new software and that additional part made a big difference.
This Jump 3, though, so nagging worries can't help but niggle at all of you.

Joxe gathers her data and goes to find Hendrick. "I think we're in good shape," she tells the younger man when she finds him. She holds the data tablet out for him to take.Eris wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 9:55 pmThe data looks great!
