Gripes and Commendations. (Character comment and questions)
Gripes and Commendations. (Character comment and questions)
I am creating this forum so you may 'gripe' or 'commend' or ask questions or raise comments to in character actions or scenario's. It is so we can keep the main posts centred on the narrative and character action and viewers may read the forum as an evolving storyline rather than have odd intermittent tangents.

but but I like tangents (kidding) though I am sometimes prone to them.

Taken from introduction post. The team beef themselves up by taking the remaining frag grenades from the crate or white smoke canisters. (Select any combination of four). To compound their weight, Rex and Marco both get to carry heavy claymore mine set-ups for your night time security.
Claymores: You found one by the cave which Rex repaired and rigged. This was used in the firefight. You have two left. You could cover a wide overlapping arc with both to shield you from anyone creeping down the hill through the jungle at your rear (to the north on the map).

Ooooooh I thought it was just the 1. Good to know. I'll edit.

The Rex in question is the player (of Cinead) not character of Bluehorse.I don't think I have a Medic skill? I do have the First Aid though.

I thought that might be the case. Problem when you have both a player and character with the same names/nicknames.

The Rex thing confuses me sometimes, have to think about it some for sure.

To my credit, this character was named long before I realized you were going to be one of the players

No big deal, nice to see my name getting some use. Just forces me to make sure I know for sure if someone is directing something at me. 50+ years of habit!

Great that you guys respond so quick, especially when combat is going on. Second combat round us up. Hope to get another update by the weekend.

Given that Diego's rifle skill is only 30, can he add to Ezekiel's mortar skill by observing, prepping, and helping judge angles and elevation? Might as well use the thing, and then we won't have to carry it.

Does the full-auto -10 apply to the LMG? It is designed for, and only capable of, full auto - I'd assume the skill with the weapon takes account of that.
Re: Gripes and Commendations. (Character comment and questions)
I am going to say yes. But your full auto is 10 rounds so you can do a burst of six for no penalty.
(You could split that as two bursts of three rounds against two opponents provided they are within the a few feet of each other).
So that is based on the assault rifle having a 3/5 ratio as well. I will say non-pigmen MOS take the -10 penalty for the LMG at all times.
if I find a rule in the book to contradict this I will edit and let you know)

Re: Gripes and Commendations. (Character comment and questions)
Fair enough.
Looking at my results I'll keep the 10 rounds this time (it gets two hits I would otherwise miss) and take the 6-round option into account next time.

Great. I will check the book but I think it just keeps things simple in awarding pigmen more shots and noting the full auto penalty.
Re: Gripes and Commendations. (Character comment and questions)
Leitz. Go ahead and roll the next mortar round for Diego. If we are pairing up only right you get to share the action. While you do that I can send a grenade into those by the boulder.
Re: Gripes and Commendations. (Character comment and questions)
Okay, I'll edit my post. Note that I don't mind what we're doing; Ezekiel has a better mortar skill. All the better to get us all home in one piece!

With area of effect weapons, even a miss on target could still blow stuff or people up. I will look at the chart to determine distance but pretty much anyone within 50'ft is in serious trouble.
