Montego hates being laughed at, but the constant chuckling from the dumb Orog throws off his surprise death blow.

Attack w/ 2 Handed Sword [1d20+3]=2+3=5 Damage [1d10+5]=8+5=13

Darg ducks Montego's blade and slashes back at the ranger, tit for tat.
Orog attack: [1d20]=3 [1d8+1]=3+1=4

"Try hit Darg again! Almost stab horsey! Har! Har!"

Darg hollers in agony as Adel's lance pins his arm to the ground!
Blood spurts out in black gouts, and the creature sinks back on his heels and howls like a dying wolf.
"Iuz take you, horse man! He will roast and eat you fer supper! Hahaha!!"
Winter is coming...

Muldgarr hesitates as the Orog’s ramblings penetrate his thoughts...this traitorous Mellon indeed.

Even close to death, the Orog senses the Elf moving behind him and ducks at the right time, causing Muldgarr's sword to miss wide.
"Har! Stabby stabby pointy pointy! Darg's people boil yer flesh to feed dogs!"

Cassius

"No Magic? Fine." Cassius moves up to Darg and punches him twice in the gut. "We can't interrogate him if he's dead."

Cassius' first punch glances off the side of Darg's armor, but the second punch cracks ribs and the Orog spits blood and falls forward, unmoving.

Sai

Sai releases Talon and tells him to: fly high from now on. Stay above us.

Sticks his Morning Star through his belt and starts checking the dead orcs for valuables, weapons, arrows, and any water skins they have to help wash the carnage off. Assisting the rain to remove all the blood and gore. He picks up all the weapons and gathers them all together to take to the fort.

Tie it up and let's get back to the Fort. Our friends could be in danger. We can interrogate it there with the help of the soldiers. Maybe they know some new tricks that I haven't learned. Although splinters under the finger nails usually works everytime.
All things are possible through Magic.

Montego gives Sia another strange look at his torture comments while he searches the huge beast for any valuable information.

"And how will we get the oaf there? I say we kill the damn thing and be done with it. We need to make good time getting back to the fort and this brute will only slow us down."

Kranston finally gets over his shock at the suddenness of the attack and stirs to life.

"Don't worry. It's ok, I'm all right!" he says to the others, raising a hand, "They missed me!"

He approaches the downed orog, raises his staff for a death blow to the back of the neck, then hesitates and lowers it again.

"I just can't do it," he says, "How would I put that in a song? He bravely slayed the unconscious orc?"

If we cut his arms and legs off now we could just drag him behind us... much lighter and easier to move that way.

Cassius

"You're right, we can't drag him. If he doesn't wake within a few minutes, let's cut him loose. Okay?"

Cassius checks to see if Darg is breathing and if so puts his blade to Darg's throat and tries to wake him by slapping and splashing water on him.

Cassius is concerned about the mention of a dark elf. He tries one last time to get information, this time literally at bladepoint.

Montego shrugs.

"Whatever we do, make it snappy! I feel like there are monsters out there watching us as we speak!" ;)

Muldgarr can’t believe his ears....”Cassius, Why would you want to keep this filth alive? Their party attacked us, tried to kill Talon...” He walks over to the Orog and places his sword on the creature’s throat... “Tell me Cassius, is this a friend of yours?”

The debate over the fate of Darg the Orog drags on.
The rain comes down in sheets, somewhat drowning the stench of dead Orcs.
Sai offers advice; it is ignored.
Adel offers more advice; it is ignored.
Montego, Muldgarr, Cassius and Kranston waffle on what to do with the creature.
Cassius checks for breathing and amazingly Darg is still alive.

Suddenly, the blaring sound cuts through the rain. A Goblin worg-rider appears off to the side of the muddy road ahead of your position. It holds a crudely shaped horn in one hand and a spear in the other. The worg easily stands four foot at the shoulder. It blows the horn again...and the air is filled with rain...a rain of black arrows!

Falling in sheets like the rain, black arrows of the goblinkin pierce flesh and bone, catching the heroes of the border watch unawares!
Naturally, the largest of the heroes, the centuar is a primary target, and while a couple arrows glance off his studded leather or miss altogether, most are surely guided by the dark god Magubliyet and find their mark digging in deep! (Targeted by four goblins = 8 arrows; 2 miss, 6 hit! Damage total: 25!) Adelphocleas feels his front legs buckle and he nearly goes down!
Goblin attacks: [1d20]=15 [1d6]=4 [1d20]=19 [1d6
Goblin attacks: [1d20]=8 [1d6]=1 [1d20]=17 [1d6]=6

Goblin attacks: [1d20]=12 [1d6]=3 [1d20]=19 [1d6]=4
Goblin arrow: [1d6]=6 (For the first set of rolls.)

Cassius jerks back from Darg as a black arrow clips the side of his face (1 pt), and diminutive Kranston is somehow missed altogether, arrows falling all around him.
Goblin attacks: [1d20]=15 [1d6]=3 [1d20]=5 [1d6]=4
goblin attacks: [1d20]=8 [1d6]=5 [1d20]=18 [1d6]=1
Goblin attacks: [1d20]=5 [1d6]=6 [1d20]=3 [1d6]=6
Goblin attacks: [1d20]=13 [1d6]=2 [1d20]=4 [1d6]=3

Montego feels the bite of two arrows in his back, adding to the pain in his shoulder and chest! (4 pts)
Goblin attacks: [1d20]=13 [1d6]=3 [1d20]=1 [1d6]=1
Goblin attacks: [1d20]=19 [1d6]=3 [1d20]=19 [1d6]=1

Muldgarr grunts in pain as a black arrow drives down into the top of his shoulder, while a second sticks in his back! (5 pts)
goblin attacks: [1d20]=20 [1d6]=4 [1d20]=3 [1d6]=1
Goblin attacks: [1d20]=14 [1d6]=5 [1d20]=19 [1d6]=1

A few paces away, Sai manages to avoid most of the falling "rain" except for one lone arrow that punctures his thigh! (4 pts)
Goblin attacks: [1d20]=9 [1d6]=4 [1d20]=16 [1d6]=4
Goblin attacks: [1d20]=10 [1d6]=3 [1d20]=8 [1d6]=3
goblin attacks: [1d20]=5 [1d6]=1 [1d20]=13 [1d6]=5

The Worg Rider howls, answered by his companions, and as one, the green-skinned bastards charge to finish off the heroes!

Initiative and actions!!

Cassius

"He is not my friend, Muldgarr, but he is an intelligent creature who surrendered under our care. And he knows something." He lowers his hands and sighs. "It doesn't sit well with me to kill him."

As he checks for breathing, the horn blows and disrupts the standoff with a deadly omen.

Ow. That's a serious wandering monster table.

Muldgarr winces in pain as he nocks an arrow, realizing how painful an arrow in your back is.

Montego perks up noticeably at the veiled accusation from Muldgarr, now also wondering why an elf would spare the life of a hated enemy. His suspicions are not eased at all when the group is suddenly attacked again by even more goblinoid filth. The ranger charges the adversaries, chopping them down one by one if he has to.

Eyes widening at the near misses and feeling they are in a rather desperate situation, Kranston will reach for one of his special sling stones, one of the ones with the odd engravings encircling it, and loose it at one of the grunts as it charges in:

Attack with Sling Bullet +1 (THAC0=18): [1d20+1]=8+1=9, Damage vs. s/m: [1d4+2]=2+2=4 vs. L: [1d6+2]=6+2=8

He'll then take out his quarterstaff and prepare for the worst.
