I need a clarification for your orders please:

If Maskelyn casts an illusion of a wall of fire between you two and the Sleestaks before you act, do you still attack the Sleestaks and/or press forward to the Sleestaks?

If yes, you will pass through the illusory flames (which Connak and Finver have seen before and know to be an illusion), fyi.

The intent here is to act as a buffer and shield between the Sleestaks but withdraw with the party. No attacks. If possible, dodging attacks from Sleestaks, but alas I know it is a small shield

Ko-nan is thinking that with the cave mouth opening up, we could fight two abreast and take the onslaught on one at a time. That assumes of course there isn't anything hidden in this cavern . Ko-Nan tho is low on hit points and may not last long. Best to die facing the enemy tho.

Might be time to see if that magical watch could help us open a whole in the floor again? Not sure if that's a finite thing or needs some time to reset - maybe that's plan b?

Moving to two-abreast sounds good. Mungo has the watch, and I debated trying to use it this turn. But decided to try to take out a zombie overlord and see what effect that would have. Not sure if that was the right decision. Especially since I rolled a 1.

Arrow 1: Fortunately for Finver, whose head you're firing over, we don't have fumbles in this game.

Arrows 1 and 2: I don't think your macro is correct. You have bonuses to hit with missile weapons for your Dex, and you also have racial bonuses for Catman too (please see PC races).
I'll modify your roll here, but you should adjust it next time, please. Please let me know if you don't have a 1e Player's Handbook and I can help out. Thanks, red!

My apologies for not having a better action to assist. Finver is presently locked at the line of scrimmage with a shield and dagger because he lacks a decent missile weapon to do any damage. With his fat, clumsy hands, any attempt to throw the dagger may well ricochet back between his own two eyes. And, given how low he is on hit points, that may just do our dwarven friend in for the game and send him on his way to greet the Sheriff.

Which brings me to my one request for Inferno: if Finver begins knock, knock, knockin on Heaven's Door, I just ask for one final post.

Fyi: in 1e, PCs don't die til they reach -10hp.
And you also have a war hammer if you want to do more damage than a dagger, btw.
