Hunter sighs draws his feeble vibro dagger and rushes back in to see what he can do for the others while not getting toasted.

The Battle - Round 7

Image

Hunter momentarily regretted not having a grenade (would there have been one in the Blue Origin stash the party neglected to search?). Then he gripped his vibro-dagger and ran into the hold.

A sharp whistle pierced the air as another volley of tiny missiles fired from the Mandalorian’s gauntlet vembrane. Hunter was grazed (6 HP), Ranger struck (10 HP), and Slash wounded (11 HP).

Slash bravely faced the Mandalorian. The mutant badger deftly swung his vibro-sword, the energy blade sliding along his beskar-armored thigh and finding an exposed joint crack to cut (12 HP).

Hunter ran right up to the Mandalorian and stabbed him. The energy dagger was mostly deflected but did scratch the bounty hunter (3 HP.)

Ranger-1 fired his Mark VII laser rifle. The shot deflected against the Mandalorian’s armor and nearly hit Hunter.

Actions for Round 8!

Rolls & Map
- Rnd 7 init party [1d6]=1 vs M [1d6]=6 Mandalorian wins.
- There are 12 whistling bird missiles, so the final six are used here. Round 7 - whistling birds 2 each [_6d20]=(3+13+20+7+12+1)=56 13 hits H, 20 critical hits R, 12 hits S
- Round 7 - whistling birds damage H, R x2, S [2d6]=6, [2d6]=5, [2d6]=11 H 6, R 10, S 11
- Per the house rule in post #1 in OOC, firing into the melee and missing risks a 50% of hitting a randomly determined other person. I’ll pass this time but going forward in effect.
- Damage This Round / HP Tally:
Hunter: 6 / 50-6= 42 HP
Slash: 11 / 39-11=28HP
Ranger: 10 / 83-10=73 HP
Mandalorian: 41/?

Ranger-1 Realizes this is getting them nowhere quick. LEEROOOOOOY JEEEENKIIIIIIIIIIIINS!!!! And the cyborg rushes out from his cover dropping his rifle near Hunter You're welcome! and holds his arms out wide intent on looking big and scarey, hoping to shock the Mando enough and then grapple him so he can take him down and wrap him up.

Okay, seriously intending to just tackle and disable him or whatever so he cannot use his toys and give everyone a chance to at least get into a more advantageous position, plus let Hunter get better armed with the rifle. Not sure what you want me to roll for that.

Ranger can roll a 1d20 for his grapple attack on the Mandalorian.

Include a Round 8 1d6 Initiate for the group as well. I normally roll Initiatives, but since we have this intra-round roll here you may as well do it. Thanks.

The Battle - Round 8

The shoot-out turned into melee as Ranger and Hunter closed in to join Slash in the brawl with the Mandalorian.

Ranger tossed his rifle to the feet of Hunter as he bounded toward the Mandalorian, intending on grappling the dangerous bounty hunter. While the cyborg towered over the armored Mandalorian, the bounty hunter used Ranger's weight against him as he deflected Ranger aside.

Hunter jumped from cover to rush the Mandalorian with his vibro-dagger, but the energy blade coudn't get through the Mandalorian's armor.

Slash hacked with his vibro-sword, but it too was repelled by the Mandalorian's beskar armor.

Finding himself beseiged by the three mercenaries, the Mandalorian gave a quick burst of his rocket packet and barrelled by the mercenaries, across the hold, to the open west door into the airlock area (see map.). He spun around with a laser pistol in each hand.

Image

Actions for Round 9!
- Round 8 initiative [1d6]=1 vs. 5 rolled by Bluehorse Party wins.
- Slash's 13 with his vibro-sword missed (he needs a 15, which in the past two rounds he managed to get). Ditto Hunter's roll of 4.
- Ranger's action, though not a successful grapple, did serve to occupy him and combined with the other two made the Mandalorian feel cornered.
- In the sequence of player posts, Hunter closed in for melee with the vibro-dagger as Ranger tossed his laser rifle on the floor near where Hunter was. The rifle remains on the floor about 15' back from the melee.
- HP Tally:
Hunter: 42 HP
Slash: 28 HP
Ranger: 73 HP
Mandalorian: 41 of ?

Slash

Enraged Slash charges the Mandalorian.

Vibro Blade [1d20]=1 to hit [10d6]=30 damage

That didn't go well.

R-1 Let me know if this isn't allowed and I will try something different

Seeing things not going well, Ranger tries to pick up the Fumble by grabbing up Slash and Throwing him at the Mado. Get him Clyde! Whoosh!
Throwing? [1d20]=3
Oh this is going to be spectacular...

Hunter grabs the rifle and scrambles to try and get to where he can shoot at the "mando". "What the hell!, clearly he aint from either of our companies." he says out of frustration. "Who hired you Mando?" he yells at the merc not expecting any type of reply.

The Battle - Round 9

As Slash rushed the Mandalorian, the bounty hunter fired his two laser pistols. Slash dived low, avoiding the energy bolt, and came up in front of the Mandalorian. The mutant badger swiped with his energy sword but the blade was deflected by the enemy's armor.

The second laser pistol shot struck Ranger at an angle that his armored robot body deflected the bolt. Ranger tried to scoop up Slash and throw him at the Mandalorian, but the quick badger had already bolted away.

Hunter dashed back for Ranger's dropped laser rifle while crying out, "Who hired you?!" As expected there was no answer. Hunter grabbed the rifle and found himself only 10' away from the Mandalorian! The bounty hunter swung down to aim at Hunter.

Actions for Round 10!
- Rnd 9 Initiative Manda [1d6]=5 vs party [1d6]=4 The bounty hunter wins.
- Manda two laser pistols [1d20]=6, [1d20]=4 :( Both miss.
- Slash's fumble roll of 68 is above the 50% chance of fumble, so he's safe.
- Ranger's low roll was why he missed Slash. (Probably for the best ;) )
- All around bad rolls for everyone this round.

R-1
Sorry just way too distracted lately. Feel free to NPC me as needed but I will keep trying to check back regularly and reply as able. It isn't fair to yall to have to wait on me though
Ranger will try to jump and grab the Mando by the ankles to drag him back down, maybe even slamming him back to the floor.

[1d20-1]=14-1=13
Oops! I didn't realize I hit the one with -1 on there, but 14. Not sure what state you would want me to roll that against.

The Battle - Round 10

Image

Slash the mutant badger, low in front of the Mandalorian, flicked his vibro-sword at him. The bounty hunter blocked it with his beskar-armored forearm.

Hunter the human mercenary raised and fired Ranger's March VII laser rifle at the bounty hunter. It hit him square in the chest but was deflected by the Mandalorian's armor.

Ranger-1 rushed in for a lower body tackle. The Mandalorian saw him coming and leaped backwards into the airlock (see map.) The bounty hunter fired one of his laser pistols at Ranger, scoring his back (17 HP) and his second laser pistol at Hunter, burning him in the shoulder (16 HP).

Actions for Round 11!
- Rnd 10 Init Party [1d6]=2 vs Mandalorian [1d6]=1 Party wins.
- Slash's 12 with his vibro-sword missed (he needs a 15). Ditto Hunter's roll of 14. I describe these misses as being deflections off the beskar armor, which is cooler than saying you just keep missing.
- Per my Round 7 spoiler notes: "- Per the house rule in post #1 in OOC, firing into the melee and missing risks a 50% of hitting a randomly determined other person. I’ll pass this time but going forward in effect." Hunter fired into melee between Slash and the Mandalorian. Does Hunter hit Slash? Does Hunter hit Slash? 1-50 Yes [1d100]=95 No.
- Per Round 9 post, the Mandalorian is firmly on the floor having just fired his two laser pistols. I'll interpret Ranger's action as a general lower body grapple. However, he missed.
- Rnd 10 M. laser pistols [1d20]=8, [1d20]=10 Hits Hunter and Ranger.
The Mandalorian's laser pistol has a WC of 13, and a Dex. bonus of +1, so per the Attack Chart on p. 28 he needs a 10 to hit Ranger and a 7 to hit Slash and Hunter.
- Rnd 10 M. laser pistols damage on Hunter [5d6]=16, Ranger [5d6]=17

- HP Tally:
Hunter: 26 HP
Slash: 28 HP
Ranger: 56 HP
Mandalorian: 41 of ?

Map: The battle was in the hold. Now the Mandalorian is in the airlock area, where there is the exit door to south, a door to the west, and the east open door into the hold from where he was.
