[OOC] Forward Lounge
Re: [OOC] Forward Lounge
I guess we have no option but to send the kids and wounded on ahead in the Pinnace and hold the fort until help comes. I like the idea of shutting down the life support to form a DMZ. Tthey attacked in the exposed landing bay, so they can work in a vacuum, but it may limit them in some fashion, it's worth a go. I guess we need to get a proper map of the area so we can work out the most defensible points.
Re: [OOC] Forward Lounge
It's very tempting. With the "civvies" out of the way in the pinnace we do have more tactical options and can also stop worrying about them attempting more crazy stunts.
If it all comes on top we can then also rope up and jump "overboard" with the knowledge that they are already safe.

Is anyone going to make an effort to medivac, or treat, the severely wounded before they die?

Re: [OOC] Forward Lounge
Isn't that what Foix and I have been doing?
Re: [OOC] Forward Lounge
There's three that need "operating" on / treating.
I'd left them within Rock's medical wheelhouse.
Although Foix will assist (with Medic 2) his primary concern has been "managing" the sixty rescuees (actually thwarting their apparently lemmingesque deathwish).
I'll post some rolls in the action thread.

Not sure exactly what this covers...
Dexterity: [2d6+1]=7+1=8

Medical skill to treat the wounded, so this will translate to a roll of 10.BackworldTraveller wrote: ↑Sun May 09, 2021 12:25 pm Not sure exactly what this covers...

Re: [OOC] Forward Lounge
that rescue ball could be the master trying to escape!
Re: [OOC] Forward Lounge
Yes, that thought had meandered across my brain as well.
Presumably he's not going to get very far in an unpowered life raft but it could well be a trojan horse set up!

Re: [OOC] Forward Lounge
As historical witnesses go Generals tend to be most unreliable!
Research for wargames has given me the odd insight and I find post WW2 a fascinating era. As you say a vast number of Generals immediately started writing books (well, CVs for those who had come second and were not locked up!) Post Târgu Frumos (Romania) 1944 (German win) noting the post war gap in the market von Manteuffel wrote himself up as the "go to guy" for stopping the Red Army. Meanwhile, the Russian Generals involved remained so quiet on the subject that it was unclear as to whether a battle had occurred. I understand they had a rather demanding boss with a very robust HR team. After Puerto de Baños 1809 (French win) when comparing the accounts of Marshal Ney and Lt Gen Wilson it's hard to believe they are describing the same events!

Still here!
Just one of the strange "tides" of PbP I guess!
Although, there was a full moon recently...
IC Foix is waiting on the Birach Navy to come for dinner - or not!

I'm sorry the update is late - I will post it this evening.

Re: [OOC] Forward Lounge
As y'all can see, I missed the Friday update. I sometimes have issues stemming from my chronic illness, the relevant one of which is difficulty concentrating. With everything I have going, my lost clock cycles impact the games first, I'm afraid.
However, I'm picking up the plot threads to move them forward. If, as we go forward, something isn't being addressed with your character, please drop me a note in your private channel, and I'll add it to my notes. I've tried to subscribe all of the forums, but use the PM if you don't see a response in the private threads. I will post something on Monday evening, and more as the week progresses.

Re: [OOC] Forward Lounge
Just how corrupt is this society? Are we talking "Dune" or "Rome"? Something less so?
One could see that in some settings, this number of unattached children could become an interesting resource for an immoral hierarchy!
Where do children fit? Are they a set of creatures to be nurtured or a resource to be moulded?
