Chapter 01: Not like any pub you remember
Re: Chapter 01: Not like any pub you remember
Tiny
Tiny quickly searches the bodies, grabbing whatever they have of use or value and follows Thorelf.

Re: Chapter 01: Not like any pub you remember
Thorelf will try to fall in line as #2 after Tiny when entering the corridor, if possible.
"After you, Tiny."
And yes, we did leave at least one dead body in every room visited. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Grabs the morningstar from the female warrior. Looks for other useful items at the bodies.
[1d20]=16+1=17
Then follows Tiny and Thorelf.

Korin after "looting" the bodies will follow the others.

Re: Chapter 01: Not like any pub you remember
Thorelf,
when looking out into the cell corridor, sees no sign of any enemies. He retrieves his dagger successfully (but notices that the point is a little bent. Ach!). He looks around for light sources and spots the torch that Korin carried (but dropped inside the secret passage when starting to wave that sword about). There are also two lit torches fixed to iron fittings on each side of the jailer's room - either would be easy to remove.
The male warrior dropped a long sword, which lies on the floor, as does the female warrior's morning star (which is spiked, i e an edged weapon). Thorelf already took the female warrior's long sword.
Korin moves first to search the bodies, then Tiny, then Eaton.
When Eaton has had his turn, he shows the others a short bow + 18 arrows that he found concealed under the male warrior's tunic.
Finally, Eaton takes the decapitated gnome's hammer.
Then, all four go back into the narrow passage. Marching order: Tiny, Thorelf w torch, Eaton, Korin. The layout of the passage conforms with the map that Thorelf drew = at the corner it continues right as far as the torch light shows, and probably beyond.
Everyone feels worn out, tired and a bit hungry.

Tiny will lead the way into the passage. "I found a pouch with something in it, not sure what it is."

Korin "Yeah I found a sorta see-through cube thing. Dunno what it does but eh I took it." the dwarf adds trying to grab his dropped torch or one of the others nearby.

Following others.
I can check the box and see if I can find out what it does.
Guys, I did find this great bow but it is not intended for me. It will be of better use for someone else. Who wants it?

Korin nods his head at the offer of figuring out what the box does "Good nough Eaton." as for the bow he shrugs "Dunno I mostly stick ta swords n axes meself."

Thorelf
"Come on, we gotta move, those guards and their beast will be on our tail soon enough! And I want to survive to get revenge on that witch. Pray Imhskal we even survived."
He holds his torch forward as to light up the path for Tiny as he rounds the corner of the corridor and continues forward....

Re: Chapter 01: Not like any pub you remember
The battle-worn companions stop for a moment in the narrow passage to compare findings.
The pouch Tiny picked up contains a grey-buff-white powder. His olfactory senses tell him that it smells quite like ground Minotaur horn would.
The cube Korin found is transparent, measuring 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 inches. Inside it are small coloured spheres; when the cube is shaken, they float around in a beautiful way, leaving coloured trails before settling again. One could stare at this fascinating trinket for hours...
Up ahead, the narrow passage continues forward and seems to come to a stop ahead, at about 50' measuring from the corner just passed.

"Come on Korin, there's no time, they're on our tail! Because someone had to go and pull the rope..." Glares angrily backwards.
Thorelf keeps lookout backwards until Korin finishes or decides to quit looking for traps.
"This seems like a dead end, but I'm sure there's a similar door to the one we entered through at the end here as well."
I assume now Korin is in front so march order is Korin, Tiny, Thorelf, Eaton.

Re: Chapter 01: Not like any pub you remember
Korin stops just as he started apparently...."Sure fine. Hope none o us dies from a trap then eh?"
just to assure anyone curious no this is not anyone mad this is just Korin being himself.

Korin, I think it would be wise if you gave me the cube. It’s possible that it have some kind of hypnosis spell that could charm the one looking at it. It could be dangerous.

If no one will move forward, Thorelf will take lead and slowly approach the dead end of the corridor to look for a similar door.
whispers
"Okay, how did you open the last one? The one the went in here."

Re: Chapter 01: Not like any pub you remember
Please reconfirm what the current marching order is - thanks.
Re: Chapter 01: Not like any pub you remember
"Fine, check the corridor."
Thorelf lets Korin do his search while keeping lookout backwards, which would mean marching order:
Korin-Tiny-Thorelf-Eaton
Korin and Tiny, please confirm.
